Chapter 18: I'll Always Be there

                                    

                                          
*Two weeks after the kidnapping*
                          
Charley's POV:
                          
Charley was looking at the empty room in her house where her sister used to to sleep. She missed her so much and hated be far way from her.
                          
I go to the kitchen and start making eggs the way Nina would want me to make them. As I am cooking I remember the fight they had about how I wanted to be independent and have control of my life. If I knew this was the outcome, I wouldn't have said it.
                          
I heard a knock at my door and went to answer, and I passed the empty wall where our Christmas picture used to be. I open the door and Spencer smiled at me and said, "Hey how are you?"
                          
I smile and moved aside letting him in. I close the door and stared at the empty wall. Spencer must of notice and said, "Are you going to meet up with your parents?"
                          
I didn't know if I wanted to see them because they lied to me and I don't think I could see them now. Not by myself at least.
                          
"Your eating more that's great," Spencer said while getting a plate for me and I said, "No I made it for you. Please take some."
                          
"I am not going to take some unless you also eat," Spencer said a little disappointed in me.
                          
I've lost my appetite ever since Nina left and so Spencer has been trying to get me to eat a little every day. He's been to my house everyday and I appreciate it so sometime to show my gratitude I would eat something.
                          
I sat at the table and he gave me a little scoop of eggs and then put some on his plate. As we ate I asked him, "Are you ready to go back to work?"
                          
He looked at me and said, "I am not going back until you return."
                          
He wasn't going to go back to work because of me but I didn't want him to do that but I was also grateful for him.
                          
I knew what I had to do. I decided I just needed to ask him, "Will you come with me to see my parents?"
                          
Nina's POV:
                          
I've been staying at a hotel for two weeks and haven't left. I've been hesitant to go see Emily I hate why I haven't left the state. I've been wanting to see here for a while now and been questioning if I should.
                          
I don't know if Emily even likes me but I need someone to talk to. I found her address and went over there. I knock on the door and it swung open and I was greeted by Emily's smiling face.
                          
Emily's POV:
                          
I've been going to working at the BAU but I haven't left with the team. I have been avoiding Hotch because he handle the situation badly with Nina. JJ, Morgan, and Penelope has been checking up on me and Spencer calls me everyday but I haven't been the same since Nina left.
                          
I heard a knock on my door so I put Sergio down and went to the door. I opened it and saw Nina standing there.
                          
I was so happy to see her and I said, "Hey, How are you? What have you been up too?" I asked her and said, "come in."
                          
She walked in and said, " Hey I am good. I'm sorry for being gone for so long I just needed time alone but I realize I also needed someone there for me. How are you?"
                          
I was so happy that Nina came to me to talk because I also felt like I could talk to you. 
                          
Sergio walks in and Nina asks, "And who is this handsome or beautiful cat?"
                          
I laugh and said, "This is my man Sergio. He is the best man out there. He doesn't take up much room in bed and poops in a box. The down side is I have to pick up after him but a small price to pay."
                          
She laughs as she pets him and say's, "That's my kind of man."
                          
I poured her a glass of water and I got some wine and we sat on the couch talking and catching up. She asked, "Why haven't you gone out on the field with the team?" I said, "I haven't been feeling like myself lately and so Hotch told me to take some time off."
                          
I could tell Nina wasn't happy when I said Hotch's name so I changed the subject. "What have you been up to? I thought you were going to California?"
                          
She said, "I was..." and sighed, "I was about to leave for the air port today but instead of driving there I drove to your apartment because I couldn't leave without seeing you."
                          
I felt so happy that she couldn't leave without seeing me and I said, "Are you going to leave after we chat?"
                          
She shook her head and said, "Ever since we talked and you drove me to my house I haven't gotten you off my mind and I can't just leave you because so far everyone  except Charley and you have betrayed me and you are the first person who has seen me vulnerable. I need you Emily because you have been there for me since day one."
                          
I felt like I was going to cry but when I saw that tears were running down Nina's face, that's when I started crying. I hugged Nina and said, "Where ever you go I will be there, so let me ask you this." She looked at me confused and I asked, "Do you want me to go with you?"
                          
She smiled and said, "Yes," and we hugged. We were about to let go of each other when I notice that we have been holding hands the whole time and so did she. I looked at her and saw how beautiful she looked even though she had been crying but I didn't care. 
                          
We locked eyes and before I knew it I was kissing her.
