Chapter 32

                                    

                                          
Renjun sat with Doyoung in his office again, trying to come up with a strategy to learn about the situation between the Werewolf Alpha and General Na. 
                          
"What about the Omega?" Renjun suggested. Doyoung pondered for a moment. 
                          
"That isn't terrible." Doyoung said. "Let's bring Johnny in."

Jungwoo paced back in forth in his room. The Faerie Kingdom was aware of the situation with Naeun and the Royal Guard was furious. The Faerie Kingdom was starting to prepare their troops for an attack on the Vampire Kingdom. His father had told him of his plans, keeping his son in the loop. Jungwoo knew he needed to tell someone but didn't know who. He sighed as he walked out the door, deciding on the one person he trusted the most.

It has now been a month since Naeun had been captured and almost a week since the agency had started their surveillance missions. Rena, Jaemin, Jeno, and Jiwoo decided to enjoy their Sunday morning with a run around the neighourhood. By now the trees were bare, winter approaching soon. They had three more weeks until the start of their exams. 
                          
"We should go check out that café sometime." Jiwoo said, pointing to the small hidden café around the corner. The others nodded their heads in agreement. 
                          
"Time passes by so quickly, exams are coming up soon." Rena pointed out as they stopped in front of the male dorms, watching Renjun making his way out. They waved him over. 
                          
"Headed to the agency?" Jeno asked him. The boy nodded. 
                          
"Yeah, I've been helping Doyoung hyung a lot recently." Renjun responded with a smile. They waved him off as he made his way towards the glass building. 
                          
"That was a good run, we should do that more often." Jaemin said to his friends before they separated to shower and change.

"That's not a terrible idea." Johnny said to the two witches sitting in Doyoung's office. Doyoung and Renjun had just finished explaining their ideas to Johnny. 
                          
"My father is considered an elder, even though he doesn't like to act one, so he does attend all the meetings." Johnny explained. 
                          
"I think out of all our options, this is our best one." Renjun said, Johnny nodding in agreement. 
                          
"Great, I'll let Taeyong know and you can head out today." Doyoung said, proudly clapping his hands together.

"You never come here when you have good news." Winwin said as Jungwoo entered his room. Winwin was lying on his bed, scrolling through his phone. He put his phone down, sitting up as Jungwoo closed the door behind him. 
                          
"They're preparing for an attack." Jungwoo told him, taking a seat on Winwin's desk chair.  Winwin sighed. 
                          
"I'm not surprised. How long are they training the troops for?" Winwin asked the faerie prince. 
                          
"I'm guessing two to three weeks." Jungwoo replied.
                          
"The least they could do is avoid exams." Winwin got up from his bed, making his way towards the door. He turned around, seeing Junwoo still sitting at his desk. 
                          
"What are you waiting for, let's go tell the leaders."

Johnny kicked a rock that was lying on the path. He was with Jaehyun in front of a small house on the outskirts of the werewolf village, his home. He sighed as he unlocked the door. 
                          
"Johnny?" His mother called from inside. Johnny closed the door behind Jaehyun. 
                          
"Hi mom." Johnny said, giving his mother a small hug. Jaehyun waved and bowed to her. 
                          
"You brought a friend." His father pointed out, walking down the stairs. 
                          
"You know Jaehyun." Johnny said to him. 
                          
"I do, I also think we should go to the basement." The Omega said. Johnny's father looked to his wife, who nodded to him before heading downstairs. Johnny and Jaehyun followed close behind him. 
                          
Johnny's basement was like a living room, with leather sofas and a classic rug in the middle. The sofas faced a large television, a dvd player and collection of dvd's sitting underneath. There were no windows to the basement, the only light being the uncovered lightbulb in the middle of the room. The walls of the basement were unfinished, the insulation and wooden planks visible. The three of them settled on the sofas in the middle of the room. 
                          
"The agency has some highly intelligent members." Johnny's father said, leaning back into the seat. "I didn't expect them to send you two here when the Alpha's son is now a full fledged member." 
                          
"I'm guess you already know what we want." Johnny said to his father. He nodded. 
                          
"Listen boys, I don't like helping people out." His father said to them. Johnny and Jaehyun exchanged looks. "But since I'm your father, I guess I should." He continued with a smirk. The two friends leaned forward, eager to here what the Omega had to say. 
                          
"The Alpha and General Na have made an alliance, the two of them being close friends. They met that day to discuss. It seems to be clear to the Vampire King that General Na can no longer be trusted, so the king has been working behind the general's back. I'm sure both already know that the Witch Coven Leader and the Vampire King have a strong bond but the alliance between werewolves and vampires has always been through the general." The Omega informed them. 
                          
"Why are so many alliances being built right now?" Johnny asked his father. 
                          
"Because a war is about to start soon, and it's important to chose the side that will win." Johnny and Jaehyun gave the Omega a confused look. He took a deep breath before explaining. 
                          
"Word has spread that a faerie has been captured, it's not long before the Faerie Kingdom takes their revenge." He explained to them as he stood up, heading towards the stairs. Johnny and Jaehyun looked at each other before standing up and following. Johnny's father opened the door to the basement, heading back upstairs. He turned around to face the two friends.
                          
"I think you two should head back now."

"Let's stop here today and we can meet again on Wednesday." Taeyong said to the board members. They nodded their heads, many of them rubbing their temples. 
                          
It was a Monday night, Jungwoo and Jaehyun had filled the group in on the news from the last surveillance mission, the Faerie Kingdom, and Werewolf Pack. It was late and many of the agents had been studying hard for their upcoming exams prior to the meeting. They slowly made their way out of the meeting room. 
                          
"Do you want to stay over tonight?" Jaemin asked the girl beside him who quickly nodded. 
                          
"The situation seems to be getting worse with each passing day." Rena told him. Jaemin agreed. He had no idea what the end goal of all this way, but he knew it wasn't going to be pretty. 
                          
"Let's just hope this all blows over soon." Jaemin said as the two entered the male dorms.

Renjun was studying at his desk, glasses on his face, his lamp being the only source of light. The clock on his desk showed that it was late into that Tuesday night. He heard suddenly heard a knock on his door. He pointed a finger at the door, chanting a spell to open the door, eyes glued to his notes. 
                          
"Renjun." Renjun's head turned towards the door as realized the owner of the voice. 
                          
"What are you doing here?"
