As soon as Jack picked her up, Josephine has sent a text to Olivia letting her know they were on their way. Jack and Josephine put on their collaborative playlist build of songs that made their friendship. Without giving too much away, 5SOS was a heavy addition to their "Calum Hood owns our asses" playlist.

"So," Jack started, almost turning his whole head to catch a glimpse of Joey. "How did we, mostly you, manage to become friends with famous people? I looked a few of them up on Insta and boy, do they have followers. Like damn, spare some likes ma'am?" Jack tends to ramble often. He's very much a talker rather than a listener. That might be why Jo and Jack have always been the closest of friends in their group; he talks and she listens. Anna and Auggie are great friends too, but Jo just carries an everlasting amount of love and appreciation for her friends. Sometimes she feels like she doesn't get much in return for what she gives, but she's okay with it. She doesn't want to seem selfish because she knows her friends are busy and have other, more important things to tend to.

Joey chuckled with a smug shrug, "I'm just cool like that." He rolled his eyes, "seriously, Joey."

She sighed, never being able to deny any of her friends, "I met Josh, a few days prior to our encounter at the skating rink, so it was a little more comfortable between us. Still awkward though."

It's always been hard for her to say no to someone, but if her friends were the ones asking for something, she just couldn't help but put down everything and do the most she can for them. Her parents don't like that she does that so much, knowing that her kindness was taken for granted often, but they valued her dedication to her friendships. Sometimes, she dedicated too much to them for her own good.

"Gross, but continue."

Chuckling, she carried on, "he was nice and stuff when we met, and then I wrote my number on the cup. I thought he was nice so I decided to shoot my shot at becoming friends, ya know? He didn't text me or anything, I wasn't really expecting him to anyways. But, after we got acquainted at the rink we've been texting. I dunno, it feels kind of weird knowing that he's part of this big production-reboot-thing, but he's a genuine guy."

Jack let out a series of girly giggles, "Awwww you like him!" She rolled her eyes, "no I don't, but I appreciate the concern. I don't get crushes anyways."

Jack hummed, giving her a patronizing look, "well, what about Calum Hood? Or Harry Styles? Jordan Fisher can fuck off then I guess."

She slapped his arm, careful to not actually hurt him, "We both know none of them are real people. They're too perfect to be human." Jack let out a noise of agreement.

After they belted out the final chorus to She's Kinda Hot at the top of their lungs, they found themselves pulling into the Dairy Queen parking lot. Jo shot Olivia a text letting her know that she and Jack had arrived. The two made their way inside, still singing the chorus to She's Kinda Hot. They both agree that Ashton deserves more solos, and his solo in She's Kinda Hot, is a prime example as to why.

"We are the kings and the queens of the new broken scene, yeah, we're alright though!" the friends chorused as they entered the store. They were giggling and snickering, not even paying attention to the dirty looks customers were sending them. Olivia suddenly appeared behind Josephine, startling both of them. Josephine visibly jumped, while Jack pointed to Olivia as if she were some scary monster. She was smiling kindly at them, "We're sitting over there," she pointed to the largest table with three empty seats, "so when you guys are done ordering you can come over. Some of us are done eating but you can take your time, it was kinda a last-minute invitation." They nodded, sending her a smile once they got over their startlement. Their fight or flight was most definitely flight, neither friend would step up at an inconvenience.
