"Are you ready to discuss our plans to go against Azgeda?" Lexa asks marching into the tent and breaking me out of my thoughts. I look up and see that Clarke is with her. I stand up.
"I'm ready, shall I get the rest of Skaikru?" I ask them. Clarke and Lexa exchange a glance.
"We will meet you in the dining hall." Lexa says. I open my mouth to ask why, but then I decide I should mind my own business. I give them a slight nod and then leave the tent. I make my way over to the dining hall in the morning light. This village is so peaceful, but I know it won't be like this for long. I know it is mainly Lexa's decision but I can't help but feel like I am asking all these people to risk their lives for me. Most of the villagers have accepted me with open arms and are now expected to fight against Azgeda. The only way I can repay them is to make sure we do not lose this war.
I walk down the steps of the dining hall and see that the sky kids are still asleep. They look so much younger when they are sleeping. They are probably exhausted. I'm sure this is not what they expected the ground to be like.
"Everyone! Time to wake up! We have a war to win." I shout loud enough to cause the kids to stir.
"Why are you so loud?" I hear Jasper groan. This earns him a laugh from Raven.
"Can't we sleep just a little longer?" She asks. I roll my eyes.
"Lexa and her people will be here any second, get up and make yourself presentable." I order them. After a bit more protest, all of them get up and clean up the blankets.
"Wait. Where's O?" Bellamy asks looking around the room. The others join him and realize she isn't here. They turn to me.
"She is already awake, she will be here soon don't worry." I say reassuringly as I can. I hate lying to them but I know Octavia is safe. Bellamy walks over to me with a worried look.
"Where is she?" He asks me.
"She's safe." I tell him looking at the floor. I can't look him in the eyes and lie.
"Did you get any sleep?" He asks, this time more quiet so no one else hears. I look up to him. He has the same worried look in his eyes. I shake my head no and then turn away from him.
"Kallie..." Bellamy starts.
"This is not the time." I say cutting him off. Then Clarke and Lexa walk into the dining hall. They are followed by Indra and a few other people from the army.
"Let's begin." Lexa states. Everyone gathers around the long table that has been cleared to put down maps and other papers. I hear footsteps coming down the stairs and look to see who it is. Octavia enters the hall. A few people turn to look at her but most of the attention stays on Lexa. Octavia makes her way over to where I stand with the sky kids. Bellamy rushes over to her and embraces her. Octavia hugs him back but then pushes him away. She gestures to Lexa and then walks to stand beside me. Octavia smiles at me and I give a small smile back. Bellamy gives me a weird look but then comes over and stands on the other side of me.
Lexa begins telling everyone her plan. Azgeda gave Skaikru three days to evacuate Ice Nation land. It's been two, which means they will attack tomorrow at nightfall. Lexa tells us that we will all go back to the Skaikru camp. Trikru will surround the camp while Skaikru will defend from the inside. Raven informs us that she can make mines to put around the fence for extra protection. She also says that she can split the ammo they have to make double the bullets.
Lexa goes over a few minor details and then dismisses everyone. The villagers start to file out of the room.
"Alright guys, get your stuff together, we will head out in 20 minutes." Bellamy says to the sky kids. Then he looks at me. "Are you ready to go?" He asks me. I look towards Lexa who is arguing about something with Clarke.
"No I need to talk to Lexa. I'll meet you all at the gate." I tell him. He nods and leaves the dining hall with everyone else. Once everyone is out of the room, I walk over to Clarke and Lexa. "Lexa can I talk to you?" Clarke and Lexa's conversation stops. The two girls look at me.
"I'll be in your tent Lexa." Clarke says. Then she leaves the room as well.
"Speak." Lexa says while glaring at me.
"I'm sorry for attacking you. I wasn't thinking, I was upset." I explain.
"I don't need your apology. I understand your pain Kallie. Save your anger for battle. I need you inside their walls. They need a warrior just in case we can't hold off Azgeda." She tells me. I open my mouth to respond but she raises her hand. "Get your things and go back to the sky camp. We will discuss things further once we win this war. You are still my second and you will obey me." Lexa demands. I know her words sound mean but the fact that she still considers me her second makes me smile. I leave the hall and go to the gate to find the others.

There are only a few at the gate. The rest of them must still be gathering their things. I walk over to Bellamy."Where's your stuff?" He asks me.
"I didn't come with anything." I tell him.
"Right. Can we talk?" He asks looking at me with that same look in his eyes.
"Bellamy I already said that now isn't the time. What do you even want to talk about anyways?"
"You didn't sleep." He says still looking at me with pity.
"That isn't your problem. Stop looking at me like that." I plead.
"Are you sure you're ready for this? Fighting against your father?" Bellamy asks me. I glare at him.
"I am more than ready. My father is going to die. He is finally going to get what he deserves." I answer.
"You don't mean that." He says. I roll my eyes.
"You don't know him," I say right as the rest of the sky kids join us, "Let's head out guys, we don't have all day." I call out to everyone. The gate is opened and we start our walk back to the sky camp.
