Daenerys reaches her hand out toward me.
"Come Nyla. We will ride ahead to Meereen." She says.
I slide off my horse and give it to a Dothraki behind me. I slowly walk towards Drogon, who turns his head towards me.
My heart skips a little from fear, but I know Daenerys would never let him hurt me.
I use his wing and back leg to climb up to her.
I take her outstretched hand and look at her for a moment.
She smiles. "What is it?"
I pull myself behind her and grab her waist.
"You're the most amazing woman in this world," I say into her ear.
She looks back at me and we lock lips. "I was just thinking the same thing about you." She turns to Daario. "Ride hard and fast with the Dothraki screamers to Meereen. We will see you there."
He nods. Drogon flaps his wings and soon were in the air.
"It seems you've figured out how to control him by queen!" I yell.
She looks back at me. "All thanks to you!"
Soon we're high above the clouds, my fear slips away with Daenerys this close. She looks happier than she has ever been. She belongs in the air, here on Drogons back, and in my arms.
She takes Drogon back down when the sun goes down. We need to eat something and rest, and so does he.
We land in some field of wildflowers near a lake. I slide down Drogons back and help her down as well.
My thighs and body ache from the hours of riding. Daenerys goes up to Drogons head and pets him affectionately.
"Go hunt and then come back to us."
He lets out a low growl and takes off again, causing the wildflowers and tall grass to stir around us.
Daenerys smiles and takes my hand. We walk towards the lake for some water.
I look around. "This place is beautiful..."
She nods. "It is... no sign of humans anywhere."
When we reach the lake I take out my goatskin water flask and fill it at the cool still lake.
I take off my pack and lay down a large blanket.
Daenerys sits down and I hand her the flask, she drinks heavily from it. I sit down to join her and take out some bread, cheese, and dried meat for us to eat.
We eat together, admiring the scenery and resting from the hard ride.
Eventually, Drogon can be seen in the distance, and he flies down toward us. He settles down ten or twenty feet from us and lays his body down on the soft grass and flowers for a well-deserved sleep.
Daenerys smiles at him. "I'm so glad I can control him again. When we reach Meereen the first thing we should do is free Rhaegal and Visarion. I can't stand thinking of them in the tomb."
I nod. "I agree."
She looks at my face for a long time. "I never got to say how thankful I am to you Nyla."
"For what your grace?"
"In that arena, with all that death and destruction around us, you climbed on Drogons back, knowing it could mean your death."
I shrug. "I didn't know that. I didn't know anything except you were on his back, and you were leaving, and I needed to be with you."
She smiles. "Oh, my love... you have been through so much these past weeks." Her eyes start to water. "I thought that bloodrider was going to kill you. When his hands went around your neck..." a tear falls down her face.
I take her hand. "I would never die and leave you in danger like that my queen. I want to live for you."
She smiles and I wipe away her tears.
"Want to go swimming my dragon?" I ask, suddenly standing on my feet.
She scoffs, looking at the lake. "What...? Now?"
I struggle with the straps of my armour. "Yes!"
She laughs but stands, helping me with the many straps and strings of my armour.
Eventually, I'm able to take all my clothes off, and Daenerys follows suit.
I take her hand and we run into the lake together. The cold water gives my body a shock a first, but I get adjusted to it quickly.
Daenerys laughs. "I can't remember the last time I went swimming!" She says as we get deep enough in the lake that the water is up to our chests.
I bring her body close to mine and kiss her passionately. She wraps her arms around me.
She pulls away and smiles up at me.
I pull away slightly and splash her full in the face.
She gasps in surprise but soon a mischievous grin comes to her face, and she splashes me back. We play and laugh and kiss in the water until we are exhausted and have to practically drag ourselves back to shore.
I flop hard onto the blanket back on the shore and Daenerys lays down beside me.
I look up at the stars. "We should stay here forever," I say.
She turns on her side and looks at me. "If only we could... but we can't. We have to go back."
I turn my head and study every part of her face. "We could build a little cabin, start a farm. Swim every day."
She smiles. "I realized something, Nyla when that Dothraki's hands wrapped around your neck." She traces a finger down my naked side. "I don't want to marry Hizdahr zo Loraq. I don't want to marry some fancy Lord in Westeros. I don't want a king at all."
I turn to her, confused, wanting to soak in everything she says. "What do you want?" I whisper.
"You... I want to marry you."
I sit up suddenly and she does the same. My throat feels tight. "Please don't joke about this, my queen..."
"I'm not joking. I'm in love with you. I want you to be my queen."
I sudden wave of emotions comes over me, and I feel tears in my eyes. "You do?" I whisper.
She nods, tears in her eyes too. "Marry me Nyla Firebearer. Be my queen until our final days."
A sob escapes me as I nod. She smiles and crawls toward me, putting a knee on either side of me and kissing me. I hold her body close to mine and lay down with her lips and body still caressing mine.
Nothing else matters. No one else matters. It doesn't matter if it has never been done. It doesn't matter if the Lords and Ladies of Westeros will hate us for it. Daenerys Targaryen wants me to be her queen, and I want her to be mine.
