"I know jiminie And I keep telling him to date But alas Maybe you should set him up with someone After all he isn't getting any younger." Jeongguk's mother shared a hearty laugh with jimin outside his office room, he could practically hear them cackling.
                          
And to be completely honest, Jeongguk hated these company meetups that his boss brother shoves them down their throats. 
                          
His brother likes to think the company as a family and once a year he organises a corporate family day. And their only family (his mother and namjoon's step mother) other than them, left in this world loved the event and his boss brother and his colleagues loved having her for such events, so he couldn't even escape the day even if he tried as she gets a special invitation from their own company Itself. 
                          
And the rest of his colleagues or his so called friends loved the opportunity to complain about him and how he works them to death because he is single. 
                          
Talk about logic. 
                          
Well, it isn't that Jeongguk hated his job or dating. He accepted that job, 2 years ago when their father died, company was going public and he was the only one with degree in business studies from abroad and had enough work experience fortunately and the company was in desperate need of a worthy CEO and namjoon was freaking out. So when he saw for the first time in 6 years with namjoon as step brother, suffering, he took the offer. 

                          
Because Namjoon was such a sweetheart to him from the beginning even if he was the one being asshole at the start but when an angle like namjoon's there you can not hate him for like two straight days. So in short jeongguk loves his ste- no. Jeongguk loves his brother. 
                          
So he took the offer. 
                          
And it did him good. Not having an ego, thanks to his mother and. . .second mother jin, a penchant to prove himself worked for him really well because after two years, while the old conglomerates were trying not to fall apart and go bankrupt, their company was one of the fastest growing companies of his country with a major profit upturn each quarter and soon to be the most profitable one if they keep working this way. 
                          
Moreover, he appeared in reputed Magazines as one of the highly sought after CEOs and also their company as the only one of the fastest growing employee friendly, respected and progressive companies in the country.
                          
But despite all this success, his dating life sucked. Although he was a very busy person, he really once or twice made an effort to have someone in his life but it was never enough. 
                          
After a lot of thinking during the last vacation he got for himself alone, he zeroed on his problem, he didn't want a shallow companion but unfortunately due to the nature of his job and the upbringing and the environment of his country, lot of partners (he's bisexual) he had met were kind of materialistic and him being from a family with a lot of money didn't helped. 
                          
Jeongguk can't judge them because being handsome richie himself, he sometimes tended to lean towards the prettier ones too and hence that narrowed his choices further.
                          
But he had once found one, working as an engineer in their IT department, not quite handsome to catch the eye at first sight but his diligence and work ethic really impressed him (not the qualities one look in an ideal type) and Jeongguk was sure he could be someone who would see Jeongguk for himself and not the young CEO with lots. . .and lots of money, but that never happened as the company opened its first branch in Japan, he was given a promotion and sent there. And Jeongguk's story ended in shy glances and smiles onl-
                          
"Sir " A high pitched voice brought him out of his reverie and Jeongguk didn't have to think about who that voice belonged to. 
                          
Jimin, his secretary. 
                          
"Your mother sir, she's asking for you "
                          
"Yeah okay." 
                          
"This way please." Jeongguk followed him to his mother and could see his mother's eyes on him. 
                          
His mother had asked him with same gaze again and again if Jimin was the one and every time his answer was no.
                          
Because objectively Jimin was good looking but there was never any spark between them. Jeongguk thinks at most they would be friends always. Yeah good friends at most. Totally. 
                          
And the most important part was that Park Jimin was the object of affection of Min Yoongi since day one and if Jimin wasn't so professional, Jeongguk was sure Yoongi would have married him by now but everyone knows they're smitten for each other but will never admit to each other till God knows when.
                          
They're dancing around each other since forever for goodness sake!.
