Later that night, Clay couldn't stop thinking about his run-in with Chloe and the fact that she approached him, wanting to apologize about ruining his life. In addition to that, the 21-year-old couldn't stop thinking about what she had done to him in the past. Clay had spent a little over two months in prison because of her, and those two months were stolen from him because of being blamed for something that he would never do, let alone think about doing in a million years. The young man was also thinking about one other piece of information that Chloe had managed to tell him as well. It was something he couldn't stop thinking about, because the young man didn't quite know what to think of the new information or even how to deal with this it in general. Being drowned and lost in his own thoughts for a while, Clay soon found himself alone in a bar, turning to alcohol in hopes of forgetting that bad time in his life again as well as the whole run-in with his rapist, Chloe Rice, in general.

Closing time soon came when the kind bartender walked over to his last customer, politely asking the blue-eyed man to leave so that he could close up and head home to his family for the night. Clay gave the older man a small smile and paid for the bill before he stumbled out of the establishment. The 21-year-old glanced around at the dark, almost-empty streets before slowly making the short walk home in his dazed state. In all truth, the young man had always been careful and never got himself buzzed, high, or drunk before. Tonight, however, was different. While he was distracted by his thoughts and wanting to forget passed events, the young male had lost track of how much alcohol he had consumed during the time he spent at the bar tonight.

The next morning, Clay woke up back in his apartment, though he wasn't in his room, or even in his bed. The baseball player glanced around at his surroundings, only to quickly realize that he hadn't even made it to his room upon getting home pretty late the night before. Just minutes after making it home, Clay had almost made it to the bathroom before apparently passing out. Because, the very next morning, the young man found himself lying on the floor just in front of the main restroom in the apartment. Feeling groggy and still a bit exhausted, the Jensen male slowly got to his feet. Stepping into the bathroom, the young man took a long look at himself in the mirror. It was then that he realized he was still in yesterday's clothing as well.

Shaking his head to himself, the boy quickly regretted the action as he felt a headache surface in the back of his head. Sluggishly making his way into the kitchen, Clay sighed to himself once he saw the time displayed on the microwave. It was just a few minutes after 10:00am, meaning that the others were most likely at class right now. The blue-eyed boy was lucky considering his first class of the day didn't start until 11:00am. The 21-year-old also mentally scolded himself after realizing that his roommates had most likely seen him passed out on the floor in front of the main bathroom earlier and would possibly question him about it at some point in the day.

Before making himself some breakfast, Clay whipped up a dark green smoothie-like beverage that his dad had once claimed would help with a hangover. After finishing off the dark-colored substance, the 21-year-old sluggishly headed back to his room to take a quick shower in hopes of waking himself up a bit more as well as making himself more alert. After getting freshened up, the young man was halfway dressed for the day as he stood in front of his dresser and debated with himself about what shirt to go with a pair of khaki-colored cargo shorts that he had opted to wear today.

While a shirtless Clay was still debating on what shirt to wear, he couldn't help but think about something Chloe had managed to tell him in the midst of their run-in. Something he hadn't acknowledged at the time. She had been pregnant with his child, but ended up getting an abortion. Her reason for telling him about this was that she felt bad about raping him and thought that he should at least know about almost becoming a father. Bringing him out of his thoughts, the young male felt his phone begin to vibrate in the right pocket of his shorts. Clearing his mind and checking the mobile device after a couple of seconds, the young man saw that his girlfriend was calling him. It hadn't registered in his mind yet that he had missed their usual conversation time the night before due to seeing Chloe earlier in the day, learning about his rapist being pregnant with his child before getting an abortion, getting distracted by his thoughts about the whole run-in with her in general, and ending the night by being at the bar for a good chunk of time. As he answered the call after a few moments of being lost in thought again, Clay was slightly confused as to why Hannah was calling him this early in the day.
