We were at lunch and Emma sat with us payton just ignored her like she was a fucking asshole or something. But I brushed is off and opened the note from Payton 
                          
The note
Bro if you haven't noticed em likes you like alot. But dont hurt her or imma be the one to beat you ass not josh. 

                          
I looked at Emma and smiled she looked upset then I realize payton blew her off for madi. I got up and went to him " yo payton why the hell are you telling me not to hurt her when you just did" I was speaking loudly and the whole cafeteria was silent " what are you talking about Quinton " " you just blew off your bestfriend for your girlfriend who may I add sleeps around with almost every qu on the soccer team except me and josh" I was pulled away from his table I turned and saw Emma's face she had tears flowing down her cheeks I pulled her close to me. The bell rang and I was happy I had soccer practice so I could burn off some steam so I dont snap on someone like em. 
                          
Emma's pov* 
the bell rang and quinton slowly let go of me. Why would he stand up for me, towards payton.and what did payton put in that note that pissed Quinton off so badly. I snapped myself out of my thoughts and went to my 2 to last period of the day 
                          
Timeskip*
I was walking to the gym with nessa for cheer try outs. I changed into some black shorts and and white t shirt I borrowed one of nessa's bows and did my hair. She showed me the routine and I landed most of the jumps perfectly I felt confident about it. I was last to try out. We were grouped up tho I was grouped with madi and ness. We tried out and I did everything on point. Once everything was over the coach said. " results well be up tomorrow during lunch next to the new soccer team listing" nessa drove me home and she said with josh for a little bit. 
My phone went off
                          
Payt🌷: em I'm sorry please dont think anything bad of me madi just doesn't want me around you 
                          
Em💜: so what she means more then me. I've been your bestfriend since kindergarten you pretty much dropped me for her.

I couldn't and didnt want to reply. I went to my room and let the tears fall. Then I got a text that changed my mood but it was from an unknown number
