Chapter 21
Shaylie's
Point of View

I woke up and didn't notice where I was until I saw my black eyed Harry Styles pillow. I grabbed onto my throbbing head and went to the bathroom for some Advil. I looked into the mirror and grimaced at the sight of me. I had looked like I died. My make-up was all over my face, my hair was a rats nest, my eyes were red and puffy, and the list went on and one. To say that I looked rough was an understatement. I got into the shower and cleaned myself up, brushing my teeth afterwards. I came back into my room to see that Nash was awake.

"Good morning." I said.

"Morning." He smiled at me.

"You look good," He complimented me. "I mean, compared to last night." He quickly said which made me laugh a little.

"Thanks I guess and thanks for being there for me." I smiled sincerely at him.

"I'll always be here for you." He said.

"I'm going to go and get changed." I awkwardly said as I realized that I was still in just a towel.

"Would you want to do something today?" He blurted out.

"Like with the group?" I asked.

"Uh, yeah if you want to. We'll just leave Shawn out, because if I see him then its going to end up bad." He said.

"Sure." I shrugged, trying not to think about Shawn and last night's events.

"Okay. I'll get changed too. Meet me in the van." He said.

I nodded my head and went into my closet, picking out some mom jeans and an white blouse to go with it. I put my normal jewelry on and put light make-up on before walking downstairs, hiding behind the wall as I listened to Nash talk to someone.

"Nash, let me in! I need to talk to her. Please!" I recognized the voice.

"You've done enough damage already, Shawn." Nash harshly said.

I peeked over the wall to see Shawn standing in the front door, the sight of him making me shutter. I studied Shawn and noticed that his eyes were all red and puffy as mine had been from crying. He then started to cry which made my heart break silently.

"N- Nash, please. I need to talk to her. I have to." Shawn sobbed.

"You just want to win the stupid bet. You don't really care about her. That video proved that last night. You should just be glad that I'm not pounding my fist into your face right now." Nash barked.

Bet? I feel like I had heard them talk about a bet before. What was it?

"No, I promise I don't. I have real feelings for Shaylie. I just want her." Shawn said which made Nash sigh.

"Look, she's busy right now and I highly doubt that she wants to see you. She had a rough night. You really did it this time. Just go, man." He stuck up for me.

"Please just tell her that I came by and that I want to explain everything." Shawn frowned.

"I'll think about it, Shawn." Nash said.

"I'm sorry." Shawn cried as Nash shut the door.

Nash then turned around and saw that I was downstairs, tears blurring my vision.

"How much of that did you hear?" He asked.

"All of it." I said, pushing back my tears.

"I'm sorry, Shay. Don't cry. You deserve better than that." He hugged me.

I just stood there for a few minutes, burying myself in his chest and breathing in his scent to calm myself down. I pulled away and looked up since he was taller than me. I stared into his fierce, blue eyes and found comfort in them.

"Thank you, Nash. I wouldn't be able to get through this without you." I said.

He leaned down, his face getting closer to me and for a second I thought that he was going to kiss me. However, he just ducked his shoulder into the crook of my neck, resting his head on me before pulling himself away.

"Let's go and have fun." He said, grabbing his keys and leaving before I could say anything else.

I went outside and was about to get into the passenger seat of the van until I saw a figure in the backseat. I opened up the door which revealed a familiar redhead.

"Shaylie!" Mahogany shouted cheerfully, pulling me into the car.

"Lox!" I yelled back as we hugged each other.

"I figured that you needed this." Nash said as Mahogany and I pulled away.

I looked further into the car and saw that it had the whole gang. I saw Taylor, the Jack's, Aaron, Neveah, Matt, Carter and Erika, Carter's girlfriend. The only person missing besides Shawn was Cameron.

"How are you doing?" Taylor looked at me, his facial expression showing that he himself had a rough night too.

"I'm holding up, you?" I asked, making him shrug.

"Eh. It hurts a lot but I know that at the end of the day everything will be better. I just wish that I would've known soon, you know?" He conversed.

"Yeah, I feel that." I nodded my head.

"Alright, y'all ready to go?" Nash asked.

"Where's Cam?" I asked.

"He's with his girlfriend." Nash replied.

"Girlfriend? Did I miss something? Since when did he get a girlfriend?" I confusedly asked.

"Natasha." Erika stated in disgust, rolling her eyes.

I wasn't the only one who wasn't a fan of her.

"What? Since when?" I asked.

"They made it official last night but they've been dating on the lowkey for about a month now." Matt informed me.

I just nodded my head and frowned as I looked out the window.

"Let's get going." Nash said as he started to drive away.

"Where are we going?" I asked after ten minutes had passed.

"Only your favorite place ever." JJ smiled.

I then cheered in excitement like the five year old I was at heart.

"The rink!" I shouted as we pulled up to the building.

I hopped out of the van and ran inside, getting my skates and putting them on immediately. "Juke Jam" by Chance the Rapper featuring Justin Bieber came on as I got onto the rink.

"We used to roll at the rink, we used to roll at the rink. I used to talk way too much, you used to know everything." I sang along to the song, bumping into someone which made me fall .

My butt came in contact with the hardwood floor, making me groan in pain.

"Oh, my. I'm so clumsy. Are you okay?" A deeper voice asked, making me look up in the direction to see a boy with brown hair and beautiful brown eyes.

"I think so." I replied.

"Here, let me help you up. Its the least I could do." He said, offering me his hand.

I gladly took it, the mystery boy pulling me up in a swift motion.

"Sorry about that." He shyly apologized while scratching the back of his neck.

"Its all good." I brushed off my butt that had dust bunnies on it.

"I'm S-" He started to introduce himself.
