Conan and Kai are 17.
                          


                          
"Hey Kai?", Conan asked snuggling into his arms.
                          
"What's up Co-Chan?"
                          
"Do you ever miss anything from your old life?"
                          
"Not really. But why do you ask?"
                          
"Because we are at the age when than happened."
                          
"Don't blame yourself for it! But if I had to choose, there would be one thing."
                          
"What would that be?"
                          
"Messing with Hakuba as Kaito!"
                          


                          
~ring~ ~ring~
                          


                          
"That's your phone Co-Chan."
                          
"I don't want to move. Who is it?", Conan asked cursing the person calling.
                          
"Nakamori."
                          
"Did you send another note?"
                          
"Nope
                          
"I guess I don't have a choice." Conan left Kai's comfortable and warm hug to answer the phone call.
                          
"Hello? What do you need?", Conan asked annoyed.
                          
"We need you to come over."
                          
"Why? To my knowledge, KID didn't send a new note for a heist."
                          
"It has been one year since KID became active again, and it's worts than before. We just can't catch him, so the higher-ups decided for, the people "main people", who are catching him to meet and discuss what we could do."
                          
"Ok, but you know Kai is coming? You know won't he let me leave the house alone. And who is coming, and more important. Where are we meeting?"
                          
"Yes, I know about Kai. And to answer your questions, the "meeting" will include Hakuba, Heiji, you and myself. And also a few of the older police-officers. My daughter is also coming."
                          
"Thank you, but why your daughter?"
                          
  "She and Hakuba are married, and she insisted to help."
                          
"Good to know. Now, where are we meeting up?"
                          
"At my place. It's big enough. I will send you the address later and any other important information or details you will need. Now excuse me, I need to call the hothead."
                          
"Goodbye officer Nakamori." Conan hung up.
                          
"What was that about?"
                          
"A meeting to discuss plans to capture KID."
                          
"How convenient for me. Who is coming?", Kai asked and Conan could have bet to have seen devil horns on Kai.
                          
"Some police officers, Nakamori, his daughter, Hakuba, and Heiji."
                          
"Why Aoko? I get that she hates KID, but still."
                          
"She and Hakuba are apparently married."
                          
This sentence caused Kai to fall from his chair. "Excuse me, what?! I think I misheard something because there is no way Aoko married that Holmes addict!"
                          
"You heard me right, and for your information, Sherlock Holmes is a good book," Conan said, pouting.
                          
"I didn't mean to offend you! It's just a lot to take in. My childhood friend, who I deeply care about, married the guy who was constantly accusing me of being KID."
