Tony was setting up the robots in the unit when you and Loki walked in. "Oh hey guys just setting these guys up. I have only a few of them made so go easy on them. I'll make more soon." "It's good to know that they aren't actual enemies unlike the last time we encountered them." You say crossing your arms. "I'm really sorry about that. It wasn't one of my best ideas." Tony says running his fingers through his hair. "You can say that again Stark." Loki huffs and narrows his eyes at the billionaire. "Well they are ready for you to train with. To turn them on say Shakespeare in the park. I'll get going now." Tony leaves and you put your water bottle down.
"What should we start off with?" Loki asks as his hands glow green. "We should probably stretch. We may be Asgardian but we aren't the young ones anymore." You say bending over to touch your toes. "Did you just call me old?" "Sure did beanpole. Sure did." You tease stretching out your arms and legs. "Guess we won't make love anymore because I'm so old. I could have a heart attack you know." You eyes widen at the idea of no more sex and you quickly embrace Loki. "I'm sorry your not old. Don't withhold your love from me." You whisper and he laughs. "Wow just the thought of me not ravishing you has made you a begging mess. I'm glad I still have that affect on you little one." He pets your head and you pull away from him. "You will for the rest of my life. You're my one and only." You go to kiss his cheek but he moves his head to get a kiss on the lips. "You trickster." "Thats what I do sweet cheeks." "Let's cut the chatter and train." He nods and you both get ready. The robots spring to life after you say the code words. You hands glow purple as you lunge towards the machines. "Remember daggers don't work my love." Loki calls out and you nod. You go a little too hard on the robots and break 2 of them in a mater of minutes. "Fuck Stark is going to kill me." You groan looking at the sparking hunk of metal at your feet. "You never did play nice with your toys little one." Loki chuckles and you glare at him. "I remember when you got a stuffed animal as a birthday gift and not even a week of you having it the poor thing lost a leg and an ear." "That was only because your dog got ahold of it. I tried to pull it from that demon's mouth and that's when it ripped. I was so upset. I tried to fix it but the leg never stayed on and the beast ate the ear." You say moving the broken robot to the side. "Is that what happened? Why didn't you tell me?" "Because you probably would have had some smart ass remark like why was the stuffed animal in a place the dog could have got it in the first place." You get back into the fight gently disabling the bots. "Yeah that's probably what I would have said. That was when I was being mean to you to show I liked you. Gods kids are dumb." "No just you. You as a kid were dumb." You teased as you kicked a bot in what you guessed the chest would be on a person, creating a large dent. "Touché my princess. Nice kick by the way." You smile as you turn to Loki. A robot grabs you by the hair and clamps it's hand around your throat. You squirm as Loki rushes to you. "No let me try to get out first." You wheeze trying to pry the thing off of you. Loki follows instructions watches intently as you struggle. Your face is red and vision is becoming blurry but you manage to teleport out of its grip and disable it from behind. Once the machine falls to the floor you do too coughing and holding your throat. "Are you ok? Let me see." Loki says kneeling to the floor to examine you. You remove your hand from your neck and tilt your head up for Loki to see. "Shit (Y/N) that looks bad. Here let me help." He says as he turns his hand Jotun and gently places it on your throat. You wince at first contact but ease into his hand once it starts to feel better. "There you go little one just rest. I got you." He coos pulling you into his lap. Your chest is still heaving up and down as you look into Loki's eyes. "Can you talk?" He asks setting your up a little. "A-little" you say as it cracks half way through the word. "Alright I think that's enough training for today. I need to look you over properly."
In an instant you're teleported to your room and Loki lays you down on the bed. He removes his hand from your neck to check it. "Still bruised but doesn't look like much swelling. How's your breathing?" He says gently placing his ear on your chest listening to your labored breaths. "Since when did you become a doctor." You croak. He looks up at you and gently cups your cheek. "With how much I read I've learned a few things little one. Now no more talking you need to rest your throat." You nod and he gives you a soft kiss. "Thank you my love. You always take such good care of me." You silently whisper to him as he sits up on the bed. "I try my best." He begins to read and you roll over to your side. He instinctively puts his palm on your back and begins to rub it. You melt under his touch, it only leaving you when he turns the page of his book. You can see he's really focused on the book so you take the opportunity to heal yourself. You had to be sneaky about it because you didn't want him to stop babying you and didn't want him to feel like he couldn't take care of you. With slow movements you place your hand on your throat and heal it. Once the purple light dissipated you roll over to your other side and nuzzle your face in Loki's thigh. "Just rest now dearest. You'll be better in no time." He coos running his long fingers in your hair. This along with his humming lulls you to sleep. He notices and gently moves your body so he can sink down into the sheets with you. He examines your neck again and sees that the bruising is gone. "You little witch." He chuckles as he places a kiss on your exposed neck. He cuddles you close and smiles at the sounds you make while sleeping.
