chapter twelve

                                    

                                          


"Father!" Kailand and Mandla ran to Apollo as they saw him walking around looking very confused and concerned. "You're awake" Kailand said as he hugged him.
                          
"What happened?" Apollo asked as he hugged them back. Mandla swallowed at the question.
                          
"Hades and his people did a spell on all of us, except the kids of course" Hera explained. "They managed to find the witch and undo the spell" she said with a smile as she hugged Mackenzie, who she had a very good bond with. 
                          
"Father is not waking up" Lauren said with a concerned look on her face. Johnny let out a sigh as he realized his sister when into his father's room. 
                          
"He's not going to, he was killed in war" Johnny muttered. "The only ones who were going to wake up were the ones who were link to his body, meaning the rest of our parents" he said letting out a sigh. Lauren gasped as she cried. 
                          
"But he's immortal, we all are" Hephaestus said coming out of nowhere. "How can he be dead?" he mutters.
                          
"Father" Maddie whispers with a smile before her and Mackenzie ran up and hugged him. "I'm so glad you're okay" Maddie told her father as she kept hugging him. Johnny looked down. 
                          
"He is immoral, but he was unfortunately killed with the help of a spell, meaning he's probably not going to wake up for a long time" Johnny explains as he hugs his mother and sister. 
                          
"We'll lose the war if Zeus is not here, he's the strongest" Apollo said frustrated as he shook his head. 
                          
"Says who? We have my son here, the new god of gods, he's just as strong" Hera says loudly. "Maybe even stronger" she shrugged.
                          
"Not with those messed up emotions" Mandla chuckled. Johnny rolled his eyes at his comment. 
                          
"I shall get you some tea, you must be exhausted" Mackenzie said as she patted her father's shoulder. 
                          
"Father, I would like a word with you" Maddie said as she looked straight into his eyes. 
                          
"Here we go" Mandla said letting out a sigh.
                          
"Actually, I would like to announce it this time" Kailand said as he walked up to Maddie. He smiled at her terrified face. 
                          
"I'll try not to get second hand embarrassment this time" Mandla mumbled to himself. Lauren glared at him. 
                          
"Madison is pregnant...with my baby" Kailand said slowly so Apollo and Hephaestus could understand. "And we're both taking full responsibility of the child and we are keeping it" he muttered. A tear came down Hephaestus' face.
                          
"Father?" Maddie said nervously as bad thoughts came to her head. "Please don't be mad" she mutters as she cries.
                          
"How can I be mad? I'm going to be a grandfather! We're going to be grandfathers" Hephaestus exclaims as he hugs Apollo, both of them with wide smiles on their faces.
                          
"Wait, so you're not mad?" Mackenzie asked with a smile. Hephaestus shook his head with happy tears coming down his face. "Really? Because mother kicked both of us out" she said nervously.
                          
"That's my place, she can't kick you out. I'll kick her ass out myself" Hephaestus said as he ran up to Maddie and held her up as he twirled her around. 
                          
"Oh, thank god" Mackenzie let out a relief sigh. "Because I really like my room there" she muttered.
                          
"Hera, we have some mail" some of the maids said as they handed Hera a letter. Hera took it and quickly opened it.



                          
' I heard  you guys were having fun. How
brave and bold of your kids to come to
my place and mess around with my children. This is not over. I will end every single one of you starting with those filthy kids" 


                          
Hera gasped as she dropped the letter and cried. Everyone looked at each other and Johnny quickly grabbed the card from the floor. He read it aloud and punched the wall as he finished.
                          
"We're not going to let that happen" Apollo said quickly. 
                          
"Damn right we're not!" Johnny yelled. "You four are done getting involved in this" he said pointing at the girls.
                          
"But-" Annie started.
                          
"Don't bother on saying anything! Things just got nasty. I have a pregnant woman inside my palace right now. I'm so not risking anything happening to any of you" he snapped at Annie. 
                          
"And all of you are following orders, get them to a room" Kailand told the maid. "Stay out of trouble or I'll make sure you do" he muttered. Annie rolled her eyes at them. 





                          
"It's so stupid! They need us. They have their head on their asses. They do things without thinking. They're going to kill innocent people, or even worse, get themselves killed" Annie yelled in frustration.
                          
"You're just worried they're going to hurt Asher" Mandla dead panned as he sat on the bed. Annie looked at Mandla for a hot minute.
                          
"That is not true" Annie muttered. "Why would I care if something happened to him?" Annie said as she walked around in circles in the room. 
                          
"Because you like him?" Mandla said as he furrowed his eyebrows. "Pretty obvious" he continued.
                          
"I do not like Asher!" she defended herself.
                          
"You really think I didn't catch how you two looked at each other earlier tonight?" Mandla said loudly with a disturbed face expression.
                          
"I'm gay, not stupid" he said as he rolled his eyes. 
                          
"Even if this was about Asher, which is not!" she said cautiously. Mandla laughed at her. "They still need us, Johnny is a goddamn moron and you know this" she muttered as she sat down on the bed beside him.
                          
"I won't disagree on that" Mandla chuckled. 
                          
"I'm going to get involved wether they like it or not. What are they going to do? Not invite me to the baby shower?" Annie announced as she played with her hair.
