Kelsey POV
I watched as the water in the tub got higher and higher. I waited till it was just a little over halfway full to turn it off. Left foot, right foot, I slowly stepped into the tub. I fully submerged myself into the hot water, getting myself comfortable. I reached over and grabbed a cigarette. I lit it and slowly inhaled, watching the cherry of the cigarette ignite and send thick smoke into the air. Just as I went to take another drag I felt a sharp, quick pain in my left eye. He struck me. My head turned and before I could react there was another strike to my face. "Bitch what did I tell you to do?!" He said standing over me. "Get up and do what I asked. NOW." His voice got deeper and louder. I did as I was told and got out of the bath tub. I dried off and threw on some fresh clean clothes. "What do you want?" I said sliding my shoes on. "Newports. 100's and a bottle of henny." All of this for a pack of cigarettes and alcohol? I thought to myself. As I was driving to the store I tried to focus my attention on the rode, but I couldn't help but realize how swollen my face was. I flipped down the sun-visor to use the mirror to see if it was as bad as I thought. Not even 2 seconds later BOOM! I had ran into the car in front of me. Could my night get any worse!? Maybe I shouldn't have said that.....
