Chapter 36 - Sweeter

                                    

                                          
Blaze's POV
I woke up early, it was a Sunday morning after everything that happened last Friday. Ein was still asleep in his room and the sun hasn't even risen yet. I checked the time on my phone 5:01am.
                          
I got up and decided to actually be the one to make breakfast today. Since the first things I saw in the fridge was white milk and bacon, I decided to make that breakfast. 
                          
I cooked the pieces of bacon and surprisingly didn't burn them. I poured the milk into two glasses and placed the cooked bacon on a small plate. 
                          
I ate my half of the breakfast and drank my milk. A while later, Ein got out of his room with a yawn. "..Morning Blaze..." He mumbled to me as he walked over. 
                          
"..You cooked breakfast today?..And you didn't burn it?..." Ein said, also surprised at the sight. "For once, yes. I actually managed not to burn it." I replied as Ein took a seat beside me.

After breakfast our day went on. Since it was a Sunday and most of our peers would either be out or be studying, we decided to just hang out with eachother today. 
                          
Its not like we didnt do that already...but..it just felt....sweeter..now.

Ein's POV
I was laying on the couch with Blaze on the other end. We were both on our phones even though it was a nice day out. 
                          
I finally got bored enough and decided that I'd actually go out of the dorm today. 
                          
I got up from the couch and went to my room. I changed out of my pajamas and into a white shirt, black jeans, and the brown sweater I got from Ms. Oksana. I placed my laptop, my phone, a charger, my wallet, keys, and ID into a messenger bag I had and got out of my room. 
                          
"Where are you off to?" Blaze asked as he saw me exit my room. 
"Just some coffee shop on campus. A friend told me that they had great pastries there on Sundays so I'm gonna see if he's right. Want me to bring some back to you?" I said and asked Blaze. 
                          
"Sure. Just be back by dinner. I might even cook again later tonight." He said with a grin. 
                          
I then waved bye to Blaze and set off. I walked around the broad campus and just enjoyed the fresh air. I looked and asked around for a coffee shp in the campus and it seemed like there was none. 
                          
So I went off campus to the cafe I work at and decided to get some stuff from there. 
                          
As I walked I couldn't get my mind off of everything that happened last Friday. 
                          
Me and Blaze got dressed up, we danced, we hung out together, and we.....we kissed. Our lips pressed against eachother's and we enjoyed it. All I could focus on was our hearts beating in our chests. 
                          
My reminiscence of memories we made last Friday distracted me from what was going around me in the present. 
                          
I was already there infront of the cafe but I had stopped dead in my tracks, before I snapped back into reality. 
                          
I walked into the open cafe and saw my other co-workers , the ones who'se shifts were on days like this. It was quieter today and I was greeted by a big hug from...Kai..
                          
He's been working in the cafe for 2 years now. Obviously when he first saw me he was....jittery. But ever since then we've gotten to be better friends. 
                          
"Hey!! Ein!" He yelled as he walked over to me with open arms. 
"Hey Kai. How's the shift going?" I said and asked him. 
                          
"It's going good, thankfully its not that busy today so theres that. Anyways, what brings you here? I thought you didn't work on days like this anymore." He replied and stated, walking us both into the back. 
                          
"I was kinda bored today so I wanted to get somehing from a coffee shop at my campus, found out it didn't exist so I went here instead." I explained as I put some pastries into a plastic bag.
                          
Kai nodded and helped me take some stuff. Then....the mood changed..
                          
"Hey..you were there at Aph's "meetup" right?" Kai smirked. "I heard from Aaron that you and that other guy from the old pack were being romancey with eachother outside the ballroom. Is that true?" 
                          
I blushed brightly at the words that just came out of his mouth. "..I-its nothing...like that.." I sighed. "We...we weren't just being 'romancey' we..." I shrugged. "I don't know how to explain it.." 
                          
His hand was on my waist and mine was on his shoulder, our hands touched as we danced to the beat of the music. He comforted me through all of my sadness and sparked a smile on my face. We kissed, and at that moment the whole world dissapeared. It felt like-
                          
"Ein!!" Kai yelled, snapping me out of my thoughts. 
"U-uh w-what?" I asked as my face flushed red.
                          
"Stop thinking about him and go be with him. More customers come in at this part of day anyways so you better get out of here." He said and ushered me to the front door. 
                          
We waved goodbye and I walked off back to campus. The town wasn't too loud today. And it was nice. 
                          
I checked my phone as I walked to see that I got a notification from Blaze.

Blaze: "Hey Blueberry, I'm just gonna go buy some food for dinner." 
Ein: "Ok Blazey. I'm on my way back to the dorm."

Nicknames were never really my strong suit but Blaze likes to call me alot. I continued to walk back to the dorm. I got on campus, and saw that some people from the pack were playing frisbee. 
                          
I passed by them and got back to the dorm. I set the pastries down and fell onto the couch. 
                          
Blaze has been alot sweeter since last Friday. He's been cooking for us more and he's currently out to buy dinner, which I usually make. 
                          
I wonder what he was up to while I was gone...
