As soon as the couple came home, the visitors didn't stop coming. It was great at first but then it became a little annoying. They couldn't show it as they knew it's not the people's fault. The visiting only lasted a month. It didn't stop but it wasn't too much as before.

The couple felt as if they could breathe freely again. Since Jane couldn't go to her job right away, James took care of everything. He took care of her and she took care of the baby. Parenting was a piece of cake for the two. They were told they were natural at it which made them both happy and proud of themselves.

As the years progressed, the bumps on Miley's back were getting bigger. It did concern Jane and James but they trusted their friend Mike. On Miley's sixth birthday the bumps weren't underneath her skin anymore, instead they were now freely visible on the girl's back.

They weren't just ordinary bones covered in skin, no. They were taking a winged shape. It amazed Jane as she was a scientist and she was into the supernatural. As she looked closer at them, she saw something what looked like a tiny hair growing.

Jane was concerned of her daughter's wellbeing. When she touched it, Miley flinched. Jane was now more concerned as she turned Miley's face which was now facing Jane's.

>>Does it hurt sweety?<< she asked nervously.

>>No mommy.<< Miley shook her head >>it just tickles.<<

Upon hearing the given answer, Jane exhaled sharply in relief.

>>If it starts to hurt, tell mommy and mommy will make the pain go away okay?<<

Miley nodded her head and went back to playing with her toys. Jane was feeling anxious. Her daughter is supposed to start school soon. She had to talk to James about it and hear his opinion. In that moment it was as if James had heard her and came home right away. The sound of doors opening and closing a few moments later was heard.

>>Honey, I'm home!<< he yelled while thinking how that sentence is something like out of a movie.

Not too long after, James heard his favorite sound in the whole world. His daughter's squeals.

>>Daddy! Daddy!<< Miley ran towards him and hugged him tightly.

>>How's my smiley Miley today?<< James proceeded to kiss Miley's head and tickle her.

Jane cleared her voice which made James stop with everything. She never greater him that way except when something was really bothering her. James approached her and kissed her forehead gently, hugging her tightly. He felt her tensed muscles relax as he slowly broke the hug.

>>What's been bothering you love?<< he spoke softly in her ear.

>>Let's talk in our room.<< she answered and took his hand, leading them both to their bedroom.

When they entered, Jane sat on the bed and patted the place next to her for James to sit. James put down his briefcase and sat beside Jane. He could notice she was anxious, almost on the verge of a panic attack.

>>What is it love?<< his calm, deep and soft voice seemed to calm her down a bit.

>>You saw what has been growing on her back right?<< she asked and he nodded.

Taking a breath, she continued talking.

>>She's supposed to start school soon, what're we going to do? I'm worried James.<< she took his hand and held it firmly.

>>Our daughter has wings, love...you can say it out loud.<< he took her hands in his and held it even more firmly.

>>You know we can't go to Mike now. As a scientist, you know what would happen to her. All the experiments and horrors our Miley would go through-<<

>>Stop..<< she cut him off >>I don't want to think about that, please...<< her eyes were watering and he regretted his words instantly.

He embraced her and gently patted her back.

>>I'm sorry love, I'm sorry...<<

They sat like that for a few minutes until Jane lifted her head to face him. She had a serious look on her face. James had never seen it before. It concerned him in a way but still kept silent, wondering what she will say.

>>Baby, we need to move somewhere where no one knows us.<< she said.

>>W-what? Why?<< James was more than confused as to why she'd say that.

>>Because I think we should homeschool Miley.<<

>>You're right, we should. No one would find out about her wings and no one will take her from us. But still, why do we have to move?<<

>>So the people here won't ask any questions as to why we're homeschooling our child. I don't want to lie to those kind people.<<

>>Okay love. That's what we're going to do.<<

In just a month, the couple bought a big house, which was located on the other side of the country, and moved there. The house was beautiful, a two story house. It had a 500m long backyard which was mostly why they bought it.

The house itself was a huge bonus. Jane used to be a teacher at different schools so they didn't need to find any kind of tutor. It looked like their life was going to be truly perfect. The only fear they had was for Miley.

They both know it won't be easy but they're still determined to raise their daughter gently, without any force. And they will excel at it. So they thought of course but no one could know the trouble that was heading their way.
