"NO! No no- Nate oh god no-"
I scrambled out of my pod, my fingers frozen as I stumbled to the control panel to Nates pod.
A voice spoke of a malfunction but I ignored it as I pulled the lever.
"Come on come on... oh God..."
Some steam came off of the pod as it opened to reveal Nates unmoving form.
I grabbed his hand in mine as I held back tears and clenched my jaw,
"Ill find who did this... and I'll get shaun back... I promise."
I slid his wedding ring off his finger and left the cold lifeless Vault...

"So you finally ready to head to diamond city?"
Preston asked,
Preston was a minutemen who I had saved with a bunch of other people from Concord.
I nodded as I loaded up my gun,
"I'll leave within the hour. You sure you're all going to be alright with out me?"
Preston chuckled at me,
"I'm sure we'll be fine. Dont worry (Y/N), you need to find your son. I get it. We'll all be here for you when you need us."
I shrugged,
"And I guess if you need me I'll be in diamond city."
So true to my word, after I stocked up on some food and added some leather armor ontop of my vault suit I left.

The walk was... annoying. Not lonely or boring just annoying.
Everything I remember about Boston, my home was ruined.
I hated looking at it all, the ruined buildings, the crumbling statues... the bodies...
