"Hey it's such a nice afternoon, do you want to take a walk", I asked Jack after the movie was over. "Yeah, it would be nice to get out of the cottage for a bit", He said with excitement evident in his voice. "Well let's get going then!"

Bunny and I walked on a trail, hand in hand, in comfortable silence. It was the perfect way to adore nature at its finest. I never really been much for springtime scenery, but the time that I spent at the cottage, where it seemed to be spring year-round,  gave me a new appreciation for nature. "Isn't it beautiful?", I asked him, bending over blue lilies, which were my favorite color. "Yeah, beautiful", he responded like he wasn't listening. I looked behind me to see him looking at me with a loving smile. "What?", I questioned with laughter. He seemed to be interrupted from his trance and immediately looked flustered and nervous. "Oh! Uh n-nothing", he chuckled nervously. I had to admit that such a strong, independent guy like Bunnymund has a softer side.
"Oh we're here", he announced, ripping me from my thoughts. "Wait what do you mean?", I asked before looking up to see a bunch of bright color dots scattered the forest floor before I realized those 'spots' were actually eggs. "What is this all about?", I asked, still in a bit of a trance from the surprise. "Well", he started, his smile dropping and his persona changing to a more serious state, "I know you have been on edge, because of what happened, and you couldn't really relax. So I decided to try and help out with that because, in all honesty, it's hard to see such a free spirit, like yourself, no feeling free". To say that I was overjoyed was an understatement. He really cared for me to notice how I was feeling and thinking without me even uttering a word.
"Well, I really appreciate it, but you didn't need to go through all of this for me. I don't want you to waste your eggs for me that's meant for the kids", I told him. "No worries! I had a bit of help and It's only a few eggs. Plus, it's to make you feel better so I would do anything for that", He said with a smile. "Well, let's quick the chatter and get started!", he yelled while handing me a basket that was planted on top of a tree stump. I started to laugh because of how excited he sounded about the egg hunt. His excitement seemed to be contagious because I grab the basket out of his hand and started on my hunt. The first five eggs were easy to find simply because they were hidden in plain sight, but I had a bit of trouble finding the other eggs.
 After about ten minutes of constantly looking and coming up with nothing, Bunnymund walked over to me and bent down where I was looking under the leaves of a blueberry bush. "If you want a hint, it's going to cost you", he whispered to me in a low, sexy tone that left me stuttering to get my words out in order to form a sentence. "uh- a", I had to clear my throat in order to continue with what I was trying to say, "A cost? What do you mean a cost", I asked looking up at him. "Mmhmm, for every hint I give you, you have to give me a kiss where ever you want", he said, grinning with self-confidence. "Wait, wouldn't that be a reward?", I asked him with a sly smirk. "Absolutely", he said as he got closer to my ear and whispered, "for me".  The way his warm, minted breath hit the skin of my neck and the deep tone that held a slight growl gave me shivers that I haven't felt since I've become a spirit. I shook off the nerves and the butterflies in my stomach pleaded for me to just take his lips as my own, but I pushed it down and replied, "I would like a hint please", as I tried my best to avoid his eyes out of nervousness. I felt a warm paw under my chin as it was lifted up and my blue eyes meet a pair of emerald eyes that were mixed with love and lust. "Well if that's the case, you have to pay up" he said before he closed the gap between us with my lips on his warm ones.
Four kisses in and I found all of the eggs except for one. "This one should be easy for you snowflake", bunnymund say before he did a sharp, loud whistle. As soon as he did that, one of the big eggs got up from where they were sitting, and right behind him was a shiny gold egg. "You cheater!", I playfully said while smacking my hand on his soft, but firm, chest, before I ran over to it to put it in my basket. My movements were stopped when bunnymund gently grabbed my wrist. He shook his head and said, "Open it". I looked at it for a second out of wonder. 'Why did he want me to open it? I wonder wants inside?'. I slowly opened it and discovered a folded-up piece of paper. "I looked at bunnymund in confusion, "Open it", he repeated, before I took the paper out of the bottom half of the egg, then unraveled the pink paper. "FREE DATE: VALID TODAY ONLY" was written in bold, black letters. The butterflies in my stomach threatened to come out of my mouth as I asked, "What is all of this?". "Well, I guess you'll just have to see. When would you like to redeem it?", he asked with one of those smirks that make me shake with nerves. "Well, I guess", I started in my best impression of him then spoke normally "since I can only redeem it today, I think that I may want to redeem it today", I said with a chuckle as bunny just smiled at me. "Well let's go. Shall we?", he asked as he held out his hand. I took it and as soon as I did, he tapped the ground and I was swallowed by brief darkness before I was met with the most beautiful scenery that I've ever seen.
I looked at my surroundings to take in everything that I was seeing. We were on top of a mountain that overlooked an enormous lake that went on past what my eyes could see. The ground was covered by little pink flowers that came off of the trees. There was a small trickle of the same flowers that drifted with the wind. There were string lights that covered the surrounding branches of the trees and linked over to the other branches, sort of like a zigzag pattern of string lights. Since it was close to night, the sunset sparkled on the lake light Christmas lights and the right in the middle of it all was a round table that was decorated with a white table cloth, a candle inside of a mason jar in the center of the table, a single golden egg on one side, and the same flowers that blanketed the ground was also sprinkled on the table. The scenery was magical and that's coming from an immortal spirit. I felt the familiar sensation as tears filled the bottom of my eyes, threatening to fall with one blink. I slowly turned around, my mouth wide open in amazement, as I turned my attention to bunny. He had a bow tie on that he got from god knows where. "Bunny", was the only thing that I could whisper.
He just keeps finding ways to impress me every day. How did I get so lucky?
