Ray & Norman's Goodbye

The next day, Emma woke up from an extremely peaceful night. She stretched her arms out and finally got out of her bed, yawning.
                          
She got ready and headed out of her room. She noticed that Ray hadn't left his room yet, which was odd. He usually wakes up before her.
                          
Then she remembered his strange behaviour the day before. She sighed and walked down to the kitchen, still thinking about him.
                          
She met Yuugo in the kitchen as well.
"Hey Emma" he said.
"Hey.." She said. He was the only one in the kitchen- which was good. She had to talk to him.
                          
Her behaviour caught his attention.
"What's wrong?"
                          
"I.. I don't know... Ray was acting strange yesterday. Do you think he's Okay?"
                          
Yuugo raised an eyebrow.
"Strange, how?"
                          
"Well, y'know.. He kinda started to panic out of nowhere yesterday, and he looked really scared or something. I'm not sure.. He refused to talk about it... I'm worried!" She said. Her voice was strong with concern.
                          
Yuugo thought for a moment before answering.
                          
"Maybe he's just sick? You worry too much about everyone, so of course you're scared, especially for Ray." He said. She could tell he was trying to keep her calm.
                          
But his words didn't help, she persisted.
                          
"I know but I think this is different! I just... I don't know what he needs.."
                          
Yuugo patted her shoulder.
"Don't worry about it, if you want, I'll talk to him later today, alright??"
                          
Her face lit up, "thank you!" She exclaimed. She gave him a big hug as she continued cooking.
                          
He smiled at her and wondered about Ray. He tried not to show it, but he was actually getting worried.

When the family ate breakfast, Ray was his normal self.
                          
That brought even deeper concern from Emma though.
That means he could have been suffering the whole time and no one would know. He's good at hiding his emotions... too good.

After breakfast, Emma asked Yuugo to talk to Ray a bit. He accepted and walked upstairs.
                          
He knocked on his door but there was no answer. He opened it a little to peek through.
                          
"Ray?" He asked.
He opened the door more.
"Yo, Cyclops, ya in here?" He asked. But Ray wasn't there. He saw Ray's clothes folded on his bed, hinting he was in the shower.
                          
Yuugo strayed deeper into his room. His attention was brought to his desk.
                          
There was a piece of paper with the words "NORMAN" scribbled onto it.
Yuugo let out a slight gasp. He examined it more and wondered how long Ray has hid this from everyone.
                          
He flipped the page on the other side and revealed a letter. He read it through. Who was the letter directed to?
                          
It said...
                          
"Dear...
I know that it's been a while. I know you're angry, enraged.. but I'm sorry.
                          
The truth is. I love her and I can't do anything about it. She's the light of my life. I love her existence. Her happy smile. Her optimism. Everything..
.
...And it's frusterating.
.
And painful.
Because of this guilt...
                          
I'm sorry for falling in love. Sorry. But this has gone too far... don't you think? Should it be this much of a struggle to force a smile? Should I have to go to bed every night... shaking? Do I have to feel hesitant to hug Her? To love her?
