Getting everything transferred from the cars to the apartment took a good chunk of time. Lainie took some time to at least clean the bathrooms that Clay and Justin would be using. This was just as a precaution, because the bathrooms already looked pretty clean, but you never know. While she was busying herself with that task, Matt and the boys set to work in assembling the new beds that they had purchased ahead of time to go into their rooms in the new apartment. Justin and Mr. Jensen were currently working on the football player's bed in his own bedroom, and the baseball player was beginning to put some of his clothes away in his dresser as well as the empty closet that the bedroom came with.

Clay's room had quickly come together nicely. His bed was a decent size, and it was decked out with Arizona State Sun Devil pillow cases and a warm- and comfy-looking blanket. The white walls were decorated with various things, most of which consisted of college-themed items. But the walls were also decorated with personal items, such as a couple of family photos here and there, as well as some pictures of all of his friends and his girlfriend, her dog, and her folks.

There was an Arizona State Sun Devils Home Run Wall Clock hanging on the wall above the door that led out to the rest of the apartment. A framed poster of Sun Devil Stadium also hung on the wall in the 20-year-old's bedroom. Another college-themed item that decorated the college freshman's walls was an Arizona State University flag. The flag had the Arizona state flag's design, but the red stripes were the college's maroon color, the yellow stripes were more of the gold color, the large blue area was black, and, in place of the star was the familiar pitchfork logo of Arizona State University.

Clay seemed all in as his room was mainly college-themed with a few personal touches here and there, but having all of the college decor just got the college freshman even more into the idea of being a college student now, and it made him more eager and excited to start his freshman year as well. Resting up against the wall that had a window was a desk where Clay would be able to do some homework once the school year got underway. His laptop rested front and center on the wooden surface of the desk. On the right corner of the desk, near the window, sat a mini Arizona State Sun Devils Mascot Statue. Accompanying the mini mascot statue was a baseball that had the college's pitchfork logo.

Decorating the area of the floor in front of his bedroom door was a 27-inch diameter Arizona State University Baseball Area Rug. The rug was a baseball with the college's pitchfork logo in the center of it. There was a similar rug placed on the floor in front of his bathroom door. The only difference being that this second baseball rug had the college's Sparky the Sun Devil logo rather than the pitchfork logo. Neatly scattered around the 20-year-old's room were a couple of various Arizona State hats. Clay had recieved them as going-away gifts from different family members, and he really loved each and every one of them, vowing to wear them all throughout his time here at college. Similar to his brother's room, Justin's bedroom was decked out with a few college-themed decorations, but there was a Justin Foley touch to the room as well that made Justin's room his very own.

After a couple of hours, everything was finally in place, and both boys were set to be living on their own now, accompanied by their roommates. Before leaving to head back home to Crestmont, Matt, Lainie, Clay, and Justin headed out to have a late lunch together before saying their goodbyes. Driving around for a few minutes, the group of four came across a nearby Whataburger restaurant. The clan decided to stop there, so Clay parked the jeep, and everyone soon headed into the nice establishment to grab a late lunch together.

Soon enough, after a good hour and a half, everyone made it back to the apartment complex. After a couple of tears were shed - mainly from Clay's mother - and hugs were shared, Matt and Lainie climbed into the rented U-HAUL truck and soon left to make the five-hour and 40-minute - give or take time due to traffic - drive back home to the small town of Crestmont. Clay and Justin watched as the small moving truck drove away until it turned a corner and was out of sight.

The young man let out a quiet sigh once his parents were officially completely out of sight and on their way back home. Though he wasn't too much of an emotional person when it came to situations like this with his family, the baseball player was genuinly sad to see his parents go, and he was even already missing them a little bit. But, at the same time, Clay was excited to officially be at college and truly living on his own, alongside Tyler Down, Justin Foley, and Christopher Wilkins.

"You ready to see what this next chapter has in store for us, Jensen?" Justin asked from his spot next to his brother. Hearing the question, the baseball player glanced over and gave the boy next to him a soft smile. "You bet your ass I am, Foley." He replied before his smile widened and he wrapped an arm over Justin's shoulders. Smiling himself, the football player wrapped his own arm around Clay's shoulders, and the two brothers turned to head back inside their new apartment together to join Tyler and Christopher who had been getting to know each other a bit already.

Later on in the evening, the four roomates had gone out to grab some dinner together and hang out for a little bit. After that, the group came back and just walked around the property to see what all the Gateway apartment complex had to offer. While they were walking around outside as the sun slowly set and the sky changed colors, the four boys came across a pool area that they hadn't noticed before when they were busy unpacking things and moving in. As they admired the pool area, Clay's phone began vibrating in his pocket. Pulling the rectangular device out, the blue-eyed man smiled softly to himself once he saw who was calling him.

"Hey, Babe." Clay said after answering the phone and holding it up to his ear. "Hey, Helmet. Did I call at a bad time or anything?" The voice of his girlfriend asked. "Nope. My roomates and I were just walking around a bit and getting familiar with things, so it's not a bad time for me at all." He replied. Hannah stayed silent for a few seconds as she smiled to herself. "You're amazing, you know that?" She suddenly questioned, making Clay smile as he already had a feeling that he knew what brought on this phone call. "I am, huh? How so?" He asked, recieving a chuckle from his girlfriend. "I got your gift today. You're always full of suprises, aren't you, Jensen?" The 20-year-old smiled to himself again and even blushed at the mention of his gift. Clay had managed to secretly compile 7 cassett tapes with a song on each side of the tape, and neatly place them into a shoebox. The tapes came with instructions, letting Hannah know which tape to listen to based on what mood she was feeling at the time. I guess Clay's gift had just arrived to Hannah and Jessica's apartment through the mail today.

"How did you even manage to put this together without anyone knowing?" Hannah asked curiously as she stared down at the shoebox of cassette tapes. "Because I'm sneaky. That's how." Clay said jokingly. "Besides. You never know what I might have up my sleeve." He added, making his girlfriend chuckle again. As the four boys left the pool area and began exploring some more, the couple stayed on the phone and talked for a decent amount of time. With how easily conversation came to them, they could talk about the most random things that popped into their minds. Eventually, the two reluctantly said their goodbyes and ended the call, but not before saying "I love you" to each other and promising to talk again soon.
