Logan's P.O.V

I heard laughing.

Villianous.
Mischievous.
Hurtful.
Scared.
Laughter.

I felt sweat drip from the side of my face as I dragged the pencil across the paper in the book. My head was banging againest my skull. The air felt like brick.

I stood up, curiousity defeating me.

I walked closer to the door.

And I opened it.

Smoke clouded my glasses when I swung open. The heat shot at me like a bullet. I couldn't stand anymore. I couldn't breathe anymore. My lungs were being stuffed with cotton. The smokes dusty hands dug into my throat pushing the fluff down and down and down and down and down.

"LOGAN!" Someone screamed. I couldn't do anything.

A rope was tied tight around my neck, strangling me.

A disgusting smell of burning flesh was so close to me. I couldn't move! I can't move! Help me!

My eyes were too dry. My tears were burnt pieces of hot water. My face was melting. My skin was cooking.

The crackling of the fire couldn't be heard, but they were definitely there. I could feel the. The sound of boots stomping towards me couldn't either, but they were there.

Then nothing.

Nothing at all.

I couldn't smell anything.

I couldn't see anything.

I couldn't feel anything.

I couldn't hear anything

I was helpless.
Again.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep

Bright. Everything was so blinding. So white.

"HE'S WAKING UP! NURSE!" Who was it? They smelt so familiar.

I felt a warmth around my hand, holding it. It wasn't like before, it was loving, caring, kind.

I could see who it was.

"M-mom...?" I mumbled to her.

"Logan!" Tears were like rivers pouring down her cheeks and she was so red. But, she was smiling at me. She was happy to see me.

And so was I.

She sqeezed my hand gently and said, "I missed you sweetie"
