"You will be the death of me"

                                    

                                          
Manik looked at the time on his watch and mentally glared at the person who was responsible for the new problem.
                          
"Look we have been fixing the issues and going through it from last 3 days. I don't want a new fucking problem now. So get your shit together and fix this as soon as possible if you want me to continue with the deal. Do you understand? ",Manik asked the person annoyed and he nods shivering in fear.
                          
" My work here is done and everything looks good except some silly issues which i believe will be solved by the time i leave. ",Manik said eyeing him and he nods wiping his face with the handkerchief.
                          
"We are done here. It was great working with you. I want a weekly report of the progress mailed to my PA. Any questions?",he said and they shake their head.
                          
" You guys can leave now",Manik ordered and they left.
                          
Pooja walks to Manik with his coffee.
                          
" Thank you. When is the flight?",Manik asked her sipping the coffee.
                          
"In 3 hours." Pooja informed.
                          
"I will be down in 20 minutes. Get the car ready.",he said and pooja leaves the room.
                          
"I missed you. Few more hours.", He whispered and curses the idiots for whom he have to stay for extra days. 
                          
Nandini looked at the calendar. It was Wednesday today and still no sign of manik.
                          
"He said he will be back before Thursday. There's still 1 day left.",She said to herself and went and got ready for work.
                          
She went on shopping with Navya and Mukti and then went on Alya's fashion show the other day. She was excited about the weekend and spending time with manik.
                          
The day went slow as there was nothing to do at work. She thinks to call manik but remember his message in the morning.
                          
"Hey, I am gonna be busy in a meeting . My phone's gonna be off. Message me if it's important. "
                          
She looks at her friends. Karan was busy chatting with the girl Sanjana he met at the club the other day and Arjun was working on something.
                          
She looks at the time and smiles in relief seeing it was 6.
                          
She wanted to go home and lay down in her bed cuddled in bedsheets watching movies and munching popcorns.
                          
She quickly wrapped up her work and gets up to leave. She bids the boys bye and walks out.
                          
"Hey", She gets stopped by max from another department. They had talked once in a while in the cafeteria.
                          
"Going home?",he asked and she nods.
                          
"Same.",he said as they walked out together.
                          
Nandini was busy talking with him till they reach infront of the building.
                          
She bid him bye and moved to the direction of her car but stops midway.
                          
She stares for a while to confirm and Manik chuckles waving her.
                          
She smiles in disbelief and walks closer to him with a smile on her face.
                          
He immediately wraps his arms around her and hugs her tight lifting her from the ground.
                          
"You don't have any idea how much i missed you.",he said putting her down and she smiles wider.
                          
He cups her face and leans in kissing her shortly before pulling her in a hug again.
                          
She was blushing with a smile still trying to digest the fact that he's here.
                          
He pulls back a little to stare at her face and finds a big goofy smile.
