But now the boy looked pale because he didn't feel well at all. Thick dark bags under his eyes because the lack of sleep. Lifeless. Extremly skinny because his eating carving was completely gone. And his always wel cared tricoloured hair looked greasy, filthy and hung low, the antygravity was completely gone.

But what worried the two boys the most was the blood stains on the boys clothes, they heard from grandpa that he caught the boy when he was cutting his wrist, without him knowing where he did find the razor, because Yugi didn't need one.

First they talked with grandpa, and they told him to fix the bath, next they forced Yugi in a corner and pulled the shirt over his head, only to see cutmarks all over his small torso.

When grandpa called that the bath was ready, they forced Yugi to the bathroom, there they told him to take a bath, the boy refused, and Joey got mad, he told Ryou to hold him and said boy did, Joey stripped of Yugi's filfy clothes and next pushed him in bath and started washing him.

The boy struggeld a lot, but the lack of blood because his most resent cut was a bit to deep, he could not fight them off.

He started to cry, this little light lost his darkness for the second time, and with Tea leaving and Tristan breaking their friendship in a cruel way, Yugi was lost, completely.

It hurt both Ryou and Joey to see their youngest friend in this much distress, and wonderd if a psychiatrist would be the best option for the boy, only problem however was.... They would send him right away to a mental instituut because he had a spirit as friend.

It would not be normal, and the danger is, they would take in his friends also, no this was a to big of a risk, they needed to help the poor boy on their own.

After they bathed the crying boy, they pulled him in clean clothes and took him down stairs were grandpa was waiting with something to eat.

It was then grandpa noticed the bleu mark in Joey's neck, and when Ryou was helping Yugi he pulled him appart.

"Joey, is he drinking again?" he asked the boy. Knowing about the abuse Joey got from his father.

Joey only nodded. It went well for a year, and now his father started again, this time worse then before.

"Joey, if you want a diferent place to live, then please move in here, I could use help with Yugi, and what you did today was more than I could handle."

"I think I do that grandpa, I go home in a bit to get my stuff." The boy told grandpa, knowing his father was now in a bar drinking his ass full.

"Good, I fix the guestroom for you."

While Joey went home to fetch his stuff, grandpa and Ryou tried their best to let Yugi eat.

"Ryou? Why isn't this affecting you as much as it does to Yugi?" grandpa asked when Yugi finaly had eaten some and next fell asleep on the couch in the living room.

Ryou who was stroking the boys head to sooth him for having nightmares did think how he would tell the elder and then said "Maybe because Bakura was an evil spirit, he needed only my body to be his host so he could live, I never spoke to him like Yugi did with Atem." Ryou explaind, and when grandpa looked closer to the albino boy he indeed saw a healthy boy, he saw that this boy felt reborn.

They softly spoke together carefully not to wake Yugi, until they heard a key rattle, grandpa knew it was Joey, because he had given Tea, Ryou and Joey a key for when he was on a dig and Yugi wanted them to come over, Tristan returned the key when he broke with the guys.

Ryou and grandpa got up to help Joey bring his stuff in right towards his new bedroom, grandpa told him Yugi needed to keep his own room clean and the same rule counted for Joey.
