Chase sat watching Blades. It was interesting for him. Boulder and Heatwave went somewhere quick. They'd be back, or so he hoped.

Blades was more focused on what he was doing. He was drawing. He wasn't the best artist on Cybertron, he'd admit. But it was sweet, and his drawings were filled with love, joy, & hard work.

He giggled as he drew. Chase held a firm focus on him. The police bot wasn't an expert with children by any means, but he knew basics on mechlings.

Chase would've been working, normally, to take advantage of this situation. However, when he was alone with Blades, he couldn't take his eyes off the child for 5 minutes. It was too stressful to.

He hated to be so inefficient, honestly. But right now, Blades was more important. He couldn't tear his optics away from the child, something could happen to him. That would too much for Chase.

Heatwave and Boulder had been gone for thirty minutes, and it concerned Chase. Had something happened to them? What if they left him with Blades, the rest of his life? What if they'd been...

"Hey Chase!" Boulder called, having opened the door. Chase snapped out of his daze. "O-oh, hello Boulder." He said, turning to the pair.

He turned back to Blades. He panicked. Blades wasn't kicking his legs in the air, as his helm lay on the floor. Crayons were sprawled out. Had Blades choked on one?!?

"Tired, Blades?" Heatwave asked, trying to reassure Chase. Blades nodded, yawning. Thank god, he wasn't dead.

Boulder picked the mechling up, and took him to his room. "He wasn't much of a problem was he?" Heatwave asked. Chase shook his head. "Not at all, actually." Chase replied.

Heatwave picked up the drawing on the floor, along with the different colored crayons and pencils. He handed the picture to Chase. He intended to clean up the art supplies from the floor.

Chase took a glance at the drawing. It wasn't finished, but, it had enough on it. He blushed a bit. He was surprised at the writings upon it.

He went to Heatwave, and tapped the red fire bot on the shoulder. Heatwave turned, as Chase handed him the small picture. Confused, he looked at it.

He laughed after looking at it. "He thinks of us as his family." Heatwave said, with a small smile. Chase nodded, looking at it.

Chase teared up, reading the words for his label. 'Ri/Mama.' Heatwave handed it back to Chase. He could tell this was very special to the police bot.

Boulder joined the pair. Chase let him look it over. "That's sweet of Blades." Boulder commented. He handed it back to Chase.

The three of them all did something. Didn't matter what it was. They all worked on something, until about ten. They all headed to their rooms.

At about midnight, Chase found himself watching Blades from the doorway. He held the drawing close to his chest. He just couldn't tear himself away from the child. Blades was special to him.

"Still watching him?" Heatwave asked. Chase nodded, as his golden optics glowed. Heatwave sighed, before wrapping an arm around the blue mech's shoulders.

"He's fine, Chase." Heatwave said. Chase still didn't look away. "C'mon. We should recharge. He'll be energetic as usual tomorrow." Heatwave stated.

Chase shook his head, as a tear fell. He turned his head away, to Heatwave. Heatwave pulled him away, insisting they go recharge, and to let Blades do so as well.

With hesitation, he went. He slowly fell asleep, as he set the drawing on his bedside table. He looked at his conjux, and shut his eyes, with those words echoing through his head.

'Ri/Mama'...
