Chapter 199: Spencer's POV
                          
I hung up my phone before Thomas or Kenny could talk to Mona.
                          
"Damn, was she that Alison chick?" Kenny asked.
                          
"No, this is another bitch named Mona," I said.
                          
"Wow, Toby be pimping," Thomas said and I gave him a look. "I mean, he's a shit."
                          
What was Mona doing with Toby's phone? Did she have him locked up somewhere? Was she back to blackmailing him? Or worse, were they friends now hanging out together?
                          
"Spencer, just don't worry about it. Everything will be fine," Kenny assured me. I really wished he was telling the truth.

The rest of the week was quite boring. Just school and planning for the dance. At least, there was no drama that I would have faced back in Rosewood. 
                          
"Kenny, will Thomas ask me to the dance?" I asked on Friday as we walked to the bus stop together. It was the last day of school before winter break.
                          
"Thomas has a girlfriend," he replied.
                          
"What?"
                          
"I told you that he's straighter than a line."
                          
"I could have sworn he was hitting on me that day in your house," I said.
                          
"Wow, get over yourself, Spence. Just because a guy compliments you doesn't mean he likes you," Kenny said and I groaned.
                          
"But you promised me a date!"
                          
"I know, I know, but all my friends already asked other girls. Look, a lot of people will come stag to the dance tomorrow so I'll get you a date there."
                          
"You suck," I said and Kenny gave me a light shoulder push.

"There you are!" Mom said as I entered the hotel room.
                          
"Hello to you too, Mom!"
                          
"Well, get packing, Spencer," she said.
                          
"For what?"
                          
"Oh yeah, you're going back to Rosewood."
                          
"What?" I asked excitedly.
                          
"Didn't you say you wanted to visit? Well, it turns out we have some last minute financing there so Melissa needs to go back and I figured, you can go to visit all your friends."
                          
"Mom, that's amazing! When are we leaving?" I asked.
                          
"You'll leave tomorrow morning and I already called Pam Fields. She said you can stay with them."
                          
"And when will I come back?"
                          
"Next week," Mom said. "So don't get too comfortable."
                          
"Shit," I muttered and Mom raised an eyebrow. "The Winter dance is tomorrow and I really wanted to go."
                          
"Well, the next time you can go visit Rosewood will be in the summer. You can always go then," Mom said as she handed me a suitcase.
                          
"That's too far away. Screw the dance!" I shouted in joy. "I'm going back to Rosewood!"
                          
"For a week," Mom added.
