"haerin behind you!" she turned around her hand that was holding the silver dagger stabbed the person's neck. she pulled the dagger out watching the blood spurt out from the guy's neck.
                          
"you got the other one?" haerin asked as she turned to the others. they nodded their heads. doyoung had caught one of them and tied him. he wore a white mask that has a red sun symbol on it.
                          
taeyong stepped in front of him pulling the mask away roughly. "who sent you?" he kneeled in front of him. the guy greeted his teeth as he glared his other lifeless members that were on the ground with blood pooling them.
                          
"useless mates" he muttered and there was a sudden pain at the back of his head. taeyong threw a punch at him straight in the face making him to fall backwards with a groan. 
                          
"answer my question!"
                          
"calm down, taeyong" johnny pulled his arm. the guy looked around with his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "what's happening?" yuta asked.
                          
"hey. who sent you here? who's your leader?" haerin decided to ask since taeyong looked very pissed off. when the guy made eye contact with her he gave her a big smile that looked rather creepy
                          
"you're pretty" before he could move closer towards her she shifted her position and pointed her dagger right at his head. 
                          
"red sun" she muttered. the guy looked as if he had came back to reality when she mentioned the name.
                          
"what's your purpose for attacking us in the day? you really underestimated nct aren't you?" 
                          
"nano.. you're nano right? the silver dagger belongs to the assassin nano. I've found you!" the guy laughed like a complete maniac. "you're real!" 
                          
"what the f- yeah he's crazy" ten made a weird look as he stared at the guy that was still laughing. "what do you mean?" haerin was getting more and more confused. 
                          
her eyes turned darker when she had sense something coming right at her and her body reacted by moving to the side quickly. their eyes widened when they saw a bullet on the ground. 
                          
"there's a sniper" yangyang stated and he went inside the big mansion. "what do you guys want?" haerin asked as she narrowed her eyes down at the guy.
                          
before he could answer his body began to shake violently his pupils went to the back his eyes turned completely white. there were white bubbles coming out from his mouth.
                          
"is he--?"
                          
"he's poisoned" eunbi said and she went beside the guy to check his pulse. "he's dead now"
                          
"poisoned? how?" taeil asked his eyebrows furrowed. "drugged and poisoned" eunbi said as she turned the guy's neck to the side.
                          
"hey! why are you touching him?" yuta began to feel anxious and he pulled eunbi away from the corpse. "seriously, yuta? i'm trying to find the cause here" 
                          
the two began to bicker and jaehyun decided to examine the thing himself. "it looks like he got injected with something. there's two small holes here. probably one from the drug and one from the poison"
                          
then there was a loud gun shot coming from the mansion. they turn to look and saw yangyang with a sniper. "sorry, i forgot the silencer" he grinned and waved cutely when they were looking at him.
                          
"now who's going to fix that?" taeyong sighed as he pointed his index finger to the direction where the back of the mansion were blown up. it was just a small explosion but it did some damage to the building.

"taeyong. we need to talk" lucas said when he entered taeyong's office. doyoung was inside too probably having a small meeting with the leader. taeyong placed the folders he was holding down on the table.
                          
doyoung excused himself seeing that it was something important.
                          
"what is it, lucas?"
                          
"i told you haerin shouldn't have joined us. she almost got shot earlier!" lucas said with his fists clenched tight knuckles turning white. taeyong's face turned emotionless.
                          
"she's safer with us"
                          
"safer? you call this safer? taeyong, ever since she joined us she's been exposed with more gang activities and it risked her life. every single time" taeyong narrowed his eyes at the tall guy in front of him.
                          
"and now what? this gang called red sun that i don't even know exists are trying to hunt her down. why aren't you making your move?" lucas' breath are getting more and more uncontrable. even the thought of haerin getting hurt by someone made him mad.

he's scared
                          
scared that he might lose her.
                          
"i'm trying to find out what gang that is. if it's a gang that we don't know then we must've never encountered with it before. you have to remind yourself lucas. haerin isn't your ordinary college girl" taeyong stood up glaring lucas straight in the eye.
                          
"no.. she's still the jung haerin that i know" lucas mumbled as he broke the eye contact.
                          
"how much do you know about her? you're not with her long enough" taeyong crossed both of his arms over his chest. 
                          
"well longer than you for sure. i've known her the most here out of all the members. i'm worried about her being" he lifted his head up to met with taeyong's piercing gaze.
                          
"i'm not the one who decided to make her join nct. i don't even want her to join"
                          
"then why-?"
                          
"he wanted her to join this gang. he wanted her to be here. i can't just refuse him! he must've had a reason as to why he wanted her to join nct" taeyong took a deep breath and he sat back down.
                          
"i don't want her to get hurt too, lucas. no one does"
                          
lucas made a thin line with his lips trying to think what taeyong had said. haerin came into her mind. he remembered when she's in a comatose state. it was painful. 
                          
he knew that he had grown very fond of her and his protective side wanted her to be safe. like what taeyong had said she's safer with them.
                          
then is haerin safe right now?

"who's he?" she whispered mostly to herself. she wanted to meet taeyong but she overheard their conversation. her grip on the door knob loosened and her hand fell to the side.
                          
she stared at the door in front of her. her face held a blank look. she spun her heels around walking away from the place.
