"yuta... wait yuta... don't go... wait," sicheng said, calling for the older boy.
the chinese boy was currently at school at 21:00, which was closing time for the library. of course, the light brown haired male had to make it to the library late again to return a book, and this time, yuta wasn't letting him in easily.
"sicheng, how many times have i told you not to come during closing time?" the purple haired boy asked the younger.
"um... once?" sicheng said in more of a question. the chinese boy recalled that one time on halloween where yuta was taking over jungkook's shift and he had returned a book late again.
the purple haired boy just froze, thinking that he had told sicheng more than once, but after a few seconds of thinking and blinking, he came back to his senses.
"but still. i told you once, right?" the older of the two said.
sicheng nodded his head before saying something else. "but you still let me in that one time you told me," sicheng said, catching the older off guard.
"o-oh... right, i guess i did..." the purple haired boy said. he took a glance at sicheng and at the library doors before sighing and opening it for the chinese to drop his book in the drop off slot.
"thank you," the light brown haired male said, showing yuta his signature smile. the other just nodded his head before locking the library doors and heading off into the direction of the dorm buildings.
"wait yuta!" sicheng called out, causing yuta to stop in his place and turn around. "you're going back to the room, right?"
the purple haired boy just nodded his head before turning back around to continue walking, but sicheng stopped him once again. "let's walk together."
the japanese boy sighed and turned around, watching as sicheng jogged up to his side and grabbed his backpack straps, showing his lopsided smile once again to the third year student who had no interest.
"aren't you staying with kun and yangyang? they stay in a different building," the japanese boy said, sicheng nodding.
"i know. but i'm not staying with them anymore," sicheng said. "i've moved back into our room."
yuta froze in his place when he heard that sicheng had moved back into their room. "so much for giving up..." yuta thought. the purple haired boy just sighed for the nth time and continued walking, sicheng following behind him like a lost puppy.
"what do you mean he moved back in?" ten asked his japanese friend. yuta was currently in johnny and ten's dorm room, talking to the two about the events that occurred last week after he closed the library one day."exactly that. he told me that he wasn't staying with kun and yangyang anymore and that he moved back into our room. he slept in there everyday this past week, too, so he wasn't bluffing," the purple haired male said to his two foreign friends.
ten and johnny listened as their japanese friend talked to them about the events that have happened between him and sicheng this past week. the purple haired boy found it weird that sicheng was starting to talk to him like he didn't try to ignore him before. it was very strange.
"and not only that, he came by the library yesterday and asked if he could help me organize some books. like isn't that very strange to you guys?" yuta asked his friends.
the two owners of the dorm room nodded their heads, agreeing with yuta. it wasn't that sicheng wasn't the type of person to help, but for someone who was ignoring their best friend consistently for a year, insulted their friend, and basically ended their friendship for good, it was a strange action to be helping that same person.
"i don't know what to do. i just decided to give up on trying to fix our friendship, but then sicheng comes along and acts like nothing happened," yuta explains to his friends.
"maybe he knew you were giving up and didn't want you to," ten suggested, but also found something about his answer weird.
"sicheng would've been happy if yuta gave up," johnny said, directing his sentence towards his short roommate.
"i don't know guys... it feels weird for sicheng to be the first one to initiate the conversation. i was the one chasing him, but now it's like he's chasing me. i don't know what happened..." yuta said, his voice dying down at the end of his sentence.
"maybe he came to his senses," johnny patted the purple haired boy's shoulder, trying to assure the other. "he might've finally realize that he was wrong."
"maybe..." yuta said, unsure if that's what he had wanted.
it had been about two weeks since school started again after break, and sicheng was still chasing after yuta. the purple haired boy, however, dismissed the boy completely, since he had decided to give up. though the japanese boy had no idea as to why the younger starting to come to him again, he didn't want any of it."sicheng, can you please stop following me everywhere? don't you have classes to attend?" the purple haired boy asked, irritated that the chinese was following him everywhere. sicheng hasn't left yuta's side during the entirety of the week, even following yuta to the library after school and staying there throughout yuta's shift and leaving during closing time.
"i'm not following you everywhere," sicheng denied, when he knew that he was. the light brown haired boy even became late to some of his classes since he was trying to follow yuta to his class to talk to the older.
"yes you are. you follow me to my class between classes when you know that your classes are on the other side of campus. you come to the library after school and stay there throughout my shift until it's time to close. you follow me back to the dorms and when i don't go back right away, you insist to go with me. why are you suddenly bothering me so much?" the purple haired boy asked the younger, getting annoyed at the chinese male.
"i just... wanted to be closer to you..."
