(And an extra part to give the readers a better feel for the story. I really am looking forward to writing this story lol, but it will be a slower burn for the romance department since the Reader isn't some pushover. Anyway, on with the chapter.)

---(Y/n)'s Pov---

"Well... that response is definitely a first." Flowey admitted before holding out his leaf in a form of greeting. "Howdy, I'm Flowey. Flowey the Flower."

"(Y/n)" I said while crouching down to shake his leaf. He seemed to take in my warmer appearance and bag over my shoulder, almost seeming surprised by it.

"You should consider me your only friend down here." He added as I pulled away from him. "Since down here... it's eat or BE EATEN."

He must of noticed the confusion that crossed my face, because he immediately started to explain the situation in the Underground. "See... monsters are not exactly the friendliest when they're starving. Here in the Underground, Humans are killed and eaten."

"That is... unexpected." I responded, unsure of how to approach the new information. "So would you say that everyone is unstable down here? Unable to control themselves due to their hunger?"

"Uh yeah... that just about sums it up. I mean, most of the monsters have gone crazy." He replied. Taking note of his words, I crossed my arms in an attempt to think about my next course of action. Of course, I would now have to be careful with my plans. Flowey must of assumed that I was nervous or panicking, because he seemed worried. "Hey, if you want... we can try to get out of here together! Just put me in your coat!"

"I have no desire to leave." My response caused the flower to stare at me with shock. The words that I spoke were unlike anything that he heard.

"Wha-"

"I need a guide. Will you assist me?" I said, cutting him off. This only served to confuse him more... "I have to look for a few things throughout the Underground. You seem rather reliable for this."

"Why would a human fall down here on a scavenger hunt?! Are you trying to die!?" Flowey was clearly annoyed by me. This would probably require a different approach.

"It could be exciting. Besides, I doubt that you'd rather spend your time here." Once I said this, he narrowed his eye with suspicion, but only decided to insult my skills once again. That wouldn't be going on for long though.

"Fine, let me tag along so that I can keep you alive. Without me, you'll be dead in an hour."

"Excellent. I am glad that we could come to an understanding." And with that said, I allowed him to climb into my coat with his vines. His head popped out from where my neck was, clearly enjoying the warmth that I was providing.

"Good thing you have that coat. It gets cold outside of these ruins." He said. I resisted the urge of agreeing with him since I already knew about the snowy forest... honestly, I was excited to see an underworld land of snow, but he didn't need to know that. He was merely an asset, a guide.

If I had to play this friendly role, then I would. My only ally was WD. Gaster who I couldn't exactly call a friend since that wasn't an appropriate word to describe our relationship. No... what existed between us had more to do with business.

Flowey and I came to a room of spikes, I didn't bother listening to his explanation and instead followed the correct path as if I walked it hundreds of times. He raised an eyebrow to me, but decided to consider my attempt as luck. "Huh... nice guess."

Yeah, guessing. Because I obviously didn't know every puzzle in the ruins. One thing that I was thankful for... Flowey was reading some of the signs. Since they weren't in hands, I was unable to understand what they said.
