Lying in Bed

                                    

                                          
Izzy's POV
I was sleeping until someone gently shook me awake. It was Jake. I groaned as I sat up. 
                          
"What is it Jake...?" I groaned as I asked him. 
                          
"Time for your medication. I'm going to be doing your medication from now on. As I know I can force you to take them." Jake exclaimed as he held my medicine. Great...no way out of this now. 
                          
"Open up." Jake said as I opened my mouth. He put the spoon in my mouth and I swallowed the mixture. 
                          
"Disgusting..." I exclaimed as I swallowed the mixture. 
                          
"Here's some orange juice to get rid of the taste." Jake exclaimed as he passed me the glass of orange juice. I swallowed it and it got rid of the taste. 
                          
"Thanks Jake." I said as I passed him back the glass. 
                          
"Okay Izz, from now on, I'm going to be monitoring your medication." Jake exclaimed as he put my medication on my shelf. 
                          
"How though?" I asked him.
                          
"I'm going to stick labels above your medications when to take it. I also got a schedule and know when I should be given you, your medication." Jake exclaimed. I sighed. 
                          
"I'm going to read my book." I exclaimed as I picked up my book. 
                          
"Okay Izz, I'll be downstairs with Cubby and Skully. Shout if you need anything." Jake exclaimed. 
                          
"Sure Jake." I said as he went downstairs. 
                          
I continued to read my book. It was called The BFG. It was about a girl named Sophie and she kidnapped by the Big Giant as he took her out of her window. He took her to the cave and they started to become friends. He saved her from the mean giants. She even taught him how to write a book and it's the book that I am reading. I really love it and I could read and read it over and over again. I was so into the book that it was starting to make me feel sleepy. 
                          
4 hours later: 
                          
I started to feel someone gently shaking me awake. I opened my eyes and it was Jake again. He had my antibiotics in his hand. 
                          
"Time for your antibiotics Izz." Jake exclaimed as he put one antibiotic in my mouth, I swallowed my bottle of water then he put another antibiotic in my mouth, I swallowed my water again. 
                          
"That's a good girl." Jake exclaimed as he rubbed my head. I smiled. He put them back on my shelf. Cubby came up with my lunch.
                          
"Here's your lunch Izzy." Cubby exclaimed as he put the tray with the bowl on it on my lap. I started to eat it. It was noodles and vegetables. 
                          
"Cubby, this is really good." I exclaimed as it really was. 
                          
"Thanks Izzy. Are you feeling any better from your surgery?" Cubby asked me. 
                          
"I'm feeling a bit better but hopefully I should be out of bed next week." I exclaimed. 
                          
"And you will Izz." Jake said. 
                          
"I will?" I asked him. 
                          
"Yep, once you're out of bed, you will be able to come downstairs with us. We can all watch movies together. How does that sound Izz?" Jake exclaimed. 
                          
"That sounds amazing Jake." I exclaimed. 
                          
"Even though Izzy will sleep through it." Cubby stated. And I won't. 
                          
"No I won't." I said while I folded my arms. 
                          
"Well whenever you fall asleep during the movies we watch, you always end up sleeping and we always end up waking you up as you miss half of the film." Cubby exclaimed. 
                          
"Izz, he is right. You do end up missing half of the movie." Jake exclaimed as well. 
                          
"Okay I guess I do end up falling asleep but I promise I won't fall asleep during the movies next week." I exclaimed. 
                          
"Izz, do you want to draw?" Jake asked me. 
                          
"Yes please." I said. So Jake got the paper and he got the pencils and crayons for me to colour in afterwards. 
                          
"What are you going to draw Izzy?" Cubby asked me. 
                          
"I'm going to draw the beach." I said as I began to draw the sand, palm trees, never sea, clouds, and the sun.
                          
I began to use the yellow crayon to colour in the beach and the sun. I used a brown crayon to colour in the trunk of the palm tree. I used the green crayon to colour in the leaves of the palm tree. I used the dark blue crayon to colour in the never sea. I used the light blue crayon to colour in the sky. I used the white crayon to colour in the clouds. Then I was done. 
                          
"Izz, that's amazing!" Jake exclaimed as he looked at my drawing. 
                          
"That looks so realistic." Cubby exclaimed. 
                          
"It reminds me of crackers." Skully exclaimed with his obsession of crackers. We all laughed at what he said. 
                          
"Oh Skully, you always know how to make us smile." Jake exclaimed with a smile. 
                          
"Do you guys want to play a board game?" Cubby asked me.
                          
"How about we play Snakes and Ladder? Just to make it easy for Izzy." Jake suggested.
                          
"How about monopoly?" Cubby asked. 
                          
"What about Barbie Shopping Game?" I asked them.
                          
"Or we can stick to Snakes and Ladders." I said as well. 
                          
"Good because I already got the game out." Jake exclaimed as he layed the board game on my lap.
                          
"So I'll be red. Izzy, you can be yellow, Cubby, you can be blue, Skully, you can be green." Jake exclaimed as he rolled the dice and he landed on a square. We continued with the game til the first one got to the winner. And...
                          
"Well done Izzy! You're our winner. Here's your crown!" Jake exclaimed as he placed the crown on my head. 
                          
I started to yawn as I was getting tired. 
                          
"Time for your night medicine before you go to sleep." Jake exclaimed as I layed down in bed. He put the mixture in my mouth. I swallowed it and I ended up falling asleep. 
                          
"Night Izz. Sweet dreams." Jake whispered in my ear as he kissed me on my forehead.
