I did the math wrong when I first started this story.. I planned for them to be 17-18 now, in 2014, but I decided against it. The year now in the story is 2009-2010. Because in real life Ari was 17/18 in those years and so she would have had Brandon in 2006/2007. I'm doing this for when I eventually skip (when I come to the end) to when they're in their 20s. So the ages are accurate - except for the Brooks boys and Frankie. The boys are two years older then they actually are. In reality they're my age but for the sake of the story all three (Ari, Jai and Luke) were born in 93 and Beau and Frankie were born in 91.
I hope to God that all made sense lmao.
And omfg thank you SO MUCH FOR 5k!!!😱😱

After more screaming from Ivy, Jai managed to get her to leave. Once he did, he went to comfort his son and what he hoped was his girlfriend. He ventured into the kitchen where Ariana was sitting in the breakfast nook with Brandon wrapped in her arms.
Joan was opening windows to let the smoke out that came from the burnt turkey.
"Alright," she sighed as she turned back to the kids. "I'm honestly not sure this is edible anymore."
Jai had slipped into the breakfast nook behind Ariana and was holding her and Brandon. He looked up at Joan and quickly offered their house for dinner. "Well.. If your dinner is ruined, you're all welcome to have dinner at our house. It's just me, mom, Luke and Beau."
Ariana looked at him in surprise. "Are you sure?"
Jai nodded and smiled. "Yeah, of course."
"Mom?" Ariana turned to her mother, who was staring at the turkey in dismay. "Are you up for that?"
Joan looked up from the burned bird and paused, nodding. "I suppose. Only if it's okay with Gina."
Jai grinned in excitement. "I'll go call her and see." He kissed Ariana's cheek gently before slipping out and leaving the room to make the call.
Ariana watched him and smiled to herself, then paused and kissed Brandon's cheek, putting him on the seat next to her then got up and followed Jai.
Brandon whimpered and quickly got up, following her out. "Momma!"
Ariana turned and looked down, seeing Brandon clutching at her skirt with a pained expression and picked him up, feeling guilty for leaving him. "I'm sorry baby." She kissed his forehead and went after Jai again. She saw him on the porch and stepped out as he hung up with a huge smile.
"Alright, my mom is waiting for us all. She's pumped about you all coming over for dinner."
"Okay great. I'm just going to change out of this dress, since it's ruined." Ariana replied, looking down at the dress then at Jai. "I'll be right back." She reached up and kissed his cheek before carrying Brandon up to her bedroom.

In the end, Ariana came to a conclusion that it ended up being a pretty good Thanksgiving - disregarding the incident before dinner. But having Thanksgiving at Jai's house and being there after so many years brought back strong nostalgia it sent a chill down Ariana's spine as they all sat around the formal dining table.
Brandon sat in between Jai and herself and her mother took one head of the table while Gina took the other. Across from her was Frankie, who was next to Luke and then Beau sat by his mothers head of the table on the left.
Looking at Jai and Luke, she felt like she was a child again, when they used to spend every Thanksgiving together. She, Luke and Jai would always sit together. Jai would sit in the middle because she and Luke would fight over who got to sit by him. The memory of that brought back a small giggle.
