~Laura’s P.O.V~
“Okay…” Ross starts. “What did the banana give to a monkey?”
“What?” Caroline and I ask simultaneously. We were currently headed to a media or magazine office since Ross had an interview for his upcoming movie. Chris was with us too. I’m glad that I’ve made a group of friends this year and I know that I’m having fun. The whole band was with us too plus Ryland. Mark, Stormie and Rydel took the front seats which meant Mark was driving. The rest of us were clammed up in the van.
“A banana!” Ross exclaims and I ended up laughing my heart out. Caroline and Chris stare at me weirdly.
“That wasn’t funny,” Caroline says in a very much flat tone.
“Well, for Laura it was.” Ross pinched the tip of my nose.
I slapped his hand off my nose. “Don’t you ever do that!” Clearly I wasn’t fond of people pinching or simply touching my nose. I get easily annoyed by that and I don’t know why.
“Ooh there’s a couple fight.” Rydel coos from the front. As if on cue, simultaneously, everybody ‘ooh’ed. Well, everybody but Caroline. She seemed pissed of the event.
“Another joke Ross!” Caroline manages to say while slapping Ross’ shoulder. “This time make it funnier!”
“Okay, okay.” Ross nods. “I went into Rydel’s room and tripped on a bra. It was a booby trap.”
And I didn’t find that funny at all. Well, sort of. I still managed to laugh just a teensy bit but now it was Caroline laughing like it was the end of the world. She was laughing like Snotty Boy from Barnyard. And she even looked like him while laughing.
“Okay, so I’ll be accompanying Ross to the studio for the interview while Mark brings you to wherever you can imagine,” Stormie says.
“Disney World?” Riker asks.
“London?” Rydel chimes in.
“Get Shaved?” Ellington suggests.
“Get Shaved!” everybody screams and the van shakes. This sure is one crazy family.
Stormie, who looked annoyed after all the screaming slides the door of the van open after closing the front door.
“Let’s go, Ross.” She nods, motioning Ross to come.
“Laura said she wanted to come,” Ross says.
My eyes widened. “I didn’t—.”
“Oh okay, come Laura.” Stormie agrees.
“Do I have to?” I whisper to Ross.
He smiles and nods. I had no choice but to follow him.
“Who am I gonna talk to?” Caroline whines.
“You’ve got Chris there,” I say as I get off the van.
“Who am I gonna talk to?” Chris mimics Caroline.
“You’ve got Caroline and the bunch of baboons there now bye.” Ross slides the door close and runs to the building pulling me with him.
We enter the building panting. A girl in a black shirt with a white and blue scarf draping over her nape and shoulders was sipping her coffee and she sees us.
