Catching Up

                                    

                                          
When Emma awakened the next day, she was tired. She had woken up early, and stayed up late. However, she didn't regret a single second she spent awake last night. 
                          
She walks into the kitchen to help Gillian, Violet, Gilda and Yuugo prepare for breakfast. They were almost always up before everyone else. 
                          
Emma's caught with a grin on her face multiple times. Her mind had been invaded by thoughts of Ray. Since they all knew how she felt about him, they were curious about what she was so happy about.
                          
"Looks like SOMEONE'S quite happy right now~" Yuugo, of course is the first one to tease her.
                          
He smirks as the girls chuckle. However, Emma was still thinking about Ray and ignored Yuugo, not because she wanted to, she just didn't hear him.
The laughter stops and they look at Emma- who was still smiling to herself uncontrollably.
                          
As they stare at Emma, Yuugo decides to trick her.
He yells, "what's up, Ray!"
And Emma jerks her head to where Yuugo was to see Ray. When she saw that he wasn't there, her reaction was visible disappointment.
                          
The four of them started laughing at this as Emma jokingly pouts.
                          
Gillian puts her head on her arms as she relaxes them on the counter top.
"So Emma, what's the story today?"
                          
Emma releases a shallow voice.
"H-uh?"
                          
Violet smirks and walks closer to Emma and pokes her.
"She means what happened THIS time with Ray"
                          
Emma becomes a bit more flustered and shows them an embarrassed smile.
                          
Gilda gives her a soft expression and rests her hand on Emma's shoulder.
"You can trust us y'know, It's obvious you want to let it out.."
                          
Emma looked at her and sighed deeply.
Emma knew Gilda was right. She DID want to talk about it. And she KNEW she could trust them. So she took a deep breath in, and exhaled.
                          
The group waited patiently for her answer.
                          
"We spent a long time together in the library last night. We had fun..! We sat next to each other, talked and read a book" Emma grins and continues the story while cupping her cheek with her hand.
"We also... at the end, he.. held my hands as the illumination of the room grew dim.." her blush was now clearly visible. "But it was special... his fingers curls around mine and he was so... gentle. Elegant.." 
                          
She began smiling at herself once again. She looked at them since they were unusually quiet.
All of them had a different reaction.
Gillian finally shrieks with excitement and Yuugo laughs to himself as she does. Gilda smiled at Emma.
                          
Violet, however, looked unimpressed. She put her hands at her waists,
"I thought you guys would've done a little more than that.." 
                          
She crosses her arms as everyone turns their attention to her. She gives Emma a smile. 
                          
"Emma, I think it's time for you to be a little more confident. Now that you guys held hands, congrats. But do a little something...MORE."
                          
Emma looked at her with confusion. "Something... more?" She asked.
                          
"YEAH!!" Gillian yelled
                          
Emma started to blush at the thought of taking things further.
Violet continued. "Now that you guys have gotten comfortable, engage him to do more with you!"
                          
Yuugo started laughing as the girls listed things out.
                          
"Ride on his back!"
"Make him carry you to your room!!"
"Tell him to do your hair again!"
"Massage his shoulders!!"
"Take a walk around the forest!"
"Sit in a tree and carve something!"
                          
All those suggestions flooded Emma's mind but then, when Yuugo stopped laughing, his low voice trampled all of the girls' and made Emma gasp.
                          
"You can dance with him in a candle lit room"
                          
The girls went silent. Emma turned red.
The girls looked to Yuugo, then to Emma. Violet and Yuugo smirked at each other and laughed. Gillian's grin grew even more.
                          
Emma didn't know what to do, all of them were getting out of control, and not only them, but Emma's mind consumed her with imaginations of Ray.
                          
Gilda saw her overwhelmed friend and walked up to Emma. She rested her hand on Emma's head.
"You can take your time with it, haha"
Gillian encouraged her too,
"Yeah Emma, you should do these things at your own speed. Don't force yourself, but at the same time, engage him to be comfortable around you!"
                          
Emma protested as much as she knew they were right.
                          
"Yeah but..." the room went quiet, "what if he doesn't actually feel the same way?"
                          
Yuugo nearly snorted since he knew EXACTLY how Ray felt. That talk he had with Ray was about Ray acknowledging his feelings for her. But he decided she should figure that out herself. He simply sighed.
                          
Gillian tried to reassure Emma,
"Awh Emma I highly doubt that!"
"Yeah Emma," Violet spoke, "I'm almost 100% sure he likes you."
                          
"And that's why... you should find out and make the first move!" Gilda tried her best to sound encouraging for her.
                          
"Go with the flow Emma," Yuugo said. He looked to the side. "Everything has it's time and you shouldn't rush things. If you feel good about things in the moment, you should do it."
                          
His words truly worked like hypnosis on Emma and she looked to her side with a smile. 
Emma started laughing and she felt so good about herself.
Gillian gave her a genuine smile.
                          
She looked at them all again,
"Yeah, okay!" She says. Her voice was filled with confidence.
