Herobrine laid there, facing Steve who was sleeping. He wonders how he is going to bring it to the others that Steve is a guy as well. He could already imagine Lai's face of shock as he chuckled softly. 
                          
"What did I do to get here..?" Herobrine murmured. He contemplates his life, sighing. 
                          
Steve moved, his legs and arms tangling with Herobrine's. "Herobrine.." He muttered in his sleep. 
                          
Herobrine was surprised, blinking as he has Steve's body right against his. He grins, returning the favor by putting his arm across Steve's body. 
                          
"Let's stay here until the ball ends..." Herobrine whispered.

Steve woke up, groaning. "Ugh.. my back hurts.." He turns in the bed, finding that Herobrine was gone. 
                          
Why does he keep leaving... 
                          
Steve spots something on the bed. It was a royal blue colored suit. No doubt Herobrine had left it for him to wear. The fabric was soff and elegant so he was holding it very carefully. He puts it against his body and saw that it was a perfect fit for him. Steve starts to put it on, getting the white collared shirt on and putting on the jacket. He pulled the pants up, grinning. 
                          
He pauses when trying to fix his tie. The only person that knows he wasn't a girl is Lilith. He notices that there was a note on the bed as well. He reads it:
                          
hurry and get dressed. i'm waiting upstairs 
                          
"You could have woke me up.." Steve muttered. 
                          
Herobrine.. he's planning to tell everyone...? Steve thought. Is that a bad idea..? 
                          
He got the socks and then slips onto the pair of shoes Herobrine left for him. He went through the hallway, going up the stairs. His heart thumped excitedly. 
                          
He found Herobrine at the top, waiting. He seem to be in nicer clothes, his hair was even combed neatly. 
                          
"Why are you like that?" Steve blurted out. 
                          
"I look so good, right?" He strikes a pose which made Steve snort. 
                          
"Because of Lai's antics, things got delayed." Herobrine explained. "But... now we're going to complete the actual event."
                          
"Huh..?"
                          
"There's a reason why this is called The Ball, Steve.." Herobrine grabs Steve's hand and started to lead him deeper into the fortress. The two went through a door which leads to a huge hallway, deocrated with large paintings depicting many different things. 
                          
There is another door in front of them. Herobrine slowly opens it. Steve can see a huge area filled with mobs. There was white clothed tables filled with all kinds of food. Out on the middle is what seems to be a dance floor, mobs dancing slowly with each other. At top was a huge chandelier that dazzled Steve. 
                          
Everything happened so fast, Steve was brought to the middle of the room by Herobrine. The mobs had noticed them, watching the two.  
                          
Steve had expected the mobs to say something about his gender but they only watched. Steve realized that they were on the dance floor.
                          
"H-hey.. wait-wait!" Steve whispered. "I.. I don't know how to-"
                          
"Follow my lead.." Herobrine whispered into his ear as he grabs one of Steve's hands and stretches it to one side. His other hand went on Steve's waist. 
                          
Steve can see Delilah and the others waving at the two with Layla and Lilith giving a big thumbs up. He also saw Blaze who was with them, smiling. 
                          
It dawn to him that everyone had stopped what they were doing and was looking in their direction. He looks up at Herobrine who wasn't even paying attention to anyone else. He was focused directly on Steve. 
                          
It's just me and him.. Steve told himself. Soon, everything around him just faded. He no longer felt the stares but only felt Herobrine's. 
                          
The two danced in harmony, matching each other's moves in perfect sync. 
                          
They were in their own little world, dancing and twirling.
                          
When the music slows to a stop, Herobrine pecked Steve on the cheek before turning to the mobs. 
                          
"This is Steve," Herobrine said. "He is my real..." He pauses, trying to think up of a word. "Other." 
                          
"A human boy..." One of the mobs said. "A human.."
                          
"That's right.. He's also human...." Herobrine said slowly.
                          
Steve watched as the mobs exchange confused and shocked looks. 
                          
"I am willing to dedicate myself to Herobrine." Steve spoke up loudly. "I.. I won't leave him."
                          
Steve turned red as everyone's eyes turn to him. "Uhm..." 
                          
"It's alright. You're accepted," Herobrine whispered fo him. 
                          
"How can you tell?"
                          
Herobrine grins. "No one is complaining." 
                          
Steve laughed. It was true. No one was casting them hateful stares. Not even Lai who was turning her attention to the food. 
                          
"I'm... yours then?"
                          
"Of course."

"Herobrine..."
                          
"Hmm?"
                          
"With... with the whole Queen thing... can't it not be a Queen..? Maybe.. a different title?"
                          
"You're right.. the title's getting old.. how about.. Princess?"
                          
"... isn't that the same thing..?"
                          
"Maid..?" 
                          
"NO. Maybe like-"
                          
"Wife?"
                          
"Not that... How about-"
                          
"Slave!!"
                          
".. I'm glad we didn't end the story like this.."
                          
"Come on Steve, they were all good."
