Amelia
After this little awkward scene happened, we decided it was better to start training. The more we do, the better it is for tonight's fight.
As soon as I performed my first hit on the special punching bag Josh was holding, a switch ticked in my head. I was now on beast mode, and nothing could stop me from kicking the shit out of this poor bag.
I was punching with all my strength, thinking I was in the actual fight, and I even heard Josh groan sometimes at the impact I caused on him. But I was too focused to stop.
Sweat was now starting to form on my forehead. Actually, there was sweat pretty much everywhere at this point. This training was a little bit more intense than usual, but it felt good.
" Oh wow, you sure do know how to punch Amy. I didn't expect you to be this strong." Josh said while trying to high five me, but with difficulty, as I may or may not have hurt his shoulder a little bit in the process of training.
A small smile crept on my face. One of my favorite part of being a girl who fights, and more precisely underground, is when the men realise who they lost to miserably. I am mostly undefeated, and I intend it to keep it that way, especially tonight knowing what's at stake.
"I'll gladly take it as a compliment then coach." I started getting more and more comfortable with him after the hour and half we spent together.
"Oh please, just call me Josh. I'm probably like two or three years older than you at most."
"How old are you?"
"20, turning 21 in a few weeks. What about you?"
"I'm 18."
I think I saw a hint of relief or satisfaction on his face after I told him my age, but it disappeared as soon as it came.
"So hey um, -what are you doing right now, maybe we can get some coffee or something. I think you really deserve it after the training we did." He said nervously while scratching the back of his neck."
"I'm sorry but I-"
"No no don't worry about it um I'm the one who's sorry. Of course a beautiful girl like you would have a boyfriend or something."
Beautiful girl? Oh wow, that's like the first time someone complimented me.
"It's nothing like that. I just have a fight tonight, so I don't really have time. Maybe Saturday?""Oh. Yeah sure Saturday sounds perfect." I now saw a small grin which taking over his lips which made him a thousand times cuter.
If only Jace would smile like that. He would've been more handsome than he already is.
Wait NO. You just got asked to hang out by a really sweet guy and you're thinking about Jace Falls? Nah ah, hell no girl. Not happening.
Jace is just a cocky, annoying brat, who still doesn't want to learn basic manners. You hate him.Yes. This sounds way better.
After this, I bid my goodbye to Joe and Josh, took out my bag and went over to pick up Luke.

Determined. That's what I was feeling as I entered "the skull."
It was the name of the fighting spot which was no so far from where I live, keeping in mind that I was in the shady part of town.
It was now 11:30 and Luke was fast asleep, in our appartement I made sure I locked thw door of before leaving.
I was wearing my gray hoodie with the hat on covering my tied up hair and some cycling shorts with high socks and my worn out sneakers. My mouth protection was on and the bandages around my knuckles were tightly wrapped as I had to make sure that no apparent bruise was showing after fights.
I was chatting with some people when I heard my name being called to the ring.
"And now ladies and gentlemen, the fight we've all been waiting for. Amore and Stephan Sanchez."
The crowd immediately started to clap, shout and whistle. It was literally chaos.
They were excited for one reason. I was a girl.
I went with the name "Amore" because I couldn't let people find my real identity. Some people were really weird and creepy and I was what you would say kind of popular around here. I built my reputation well.
We both got in the closed platform throwing daggers at each other.
Oh baby I am SO ready for this.
My mind blurred everything else around me and I had my target right in front of my dark eyes. Sweet awkward Amelia was long gone, ruthless Amore replacing her.
I had to think about Luke. How happy would he be if I was able to spoil him with the money I won, and that was enough to wake up my beast.
The starting bell rang and Stephan didn't lose any time throwing himself at me. Of course I dodged easily and I did so for the next few blows he tried to hit.
Starting to get tired of defending, I threw my first punch, hitting his stomach. The impact made him grunt and stumble back so I took the opportunity to insert a few hooks and uppercuts right oh his face.
He spat blood and a nasty bruise was forming but that didn't stop him from lifting me up. As he was about to throw me down I shifted my weight to the back making him loose his balance so he was the one going to hit the floor. Hard.
"Damn stephy, you would've been a bad caveman. Good thing you were born this era."
My little joke seemed to piss him off even more and he immediately got up and charged towards me like a mad bull and all that I needed to do was grab his feet and tackle him to the floor.
His head must've hit the ground hard as I think he was now unconscious. Oopsies.
One. Two. Three.
"AND THE WINNER IS THE GREAT, THE UNDEFEATED AMORE."
Once again the crowd stood up to give me a standing ovation and I smiled a bit, knowing what I just won.
"Good job Ames." Said Mia, the bartender while giving me an ice cold bottled water.
Mia is the only one here who knows my real identity, the only other girl too.
I always admired her feisty attitude and how she never lets anyone stomp over her. With her electric blue hair and her pierced and tattooed body, she may look intimidating and all, but she really is just a sweetheart. Well most of the time.
As we were talking about random things, I looked over the door and saw a rather familiar face.
It was Carson James, one of Jace's friends.
Oh no. This can't happen right now.
Hey guys! Sorry for not posting a bit earlier but I'm in the middle of exams right now.
