I heard James's truck parking outside, so I put my book down on the bed and pulled the sheet away so I could meet them. When I was at the stairs the door opened and he was carrying Sarah on his arms, he kicked the door shut and I came back up to open her bed.

"Guess she couldn't take to stay up this late." He smiled ad pecked me. I took her jeans off and left her in her shirt, pulling the covers over her. "Was it fun?" I asked turning to him and turning out the lights of her room. He grabbed my hand and pushed me back.

"We need to talk." He said.

"Is there anything wrong?" I asked clueless, James smiled.

"Well, no..." He said. "Let's go to our room and I explain it to you." I took my book away and put it on my night stand. I sat with my back against the headboard and the sheet covering my legs. James took of his boots and unzipped his jeans, sliding them off his legs right after. He put it on the chair, doing the same with his shirt. "I'll be right back." He said disappearing behind the bathroom's door and I opened my book again until I heard the door opening some 10 minutes later and he sat by my side. James took it from me.

"Hey...let me just finish that page." I complained. He put the book on hid nightstand and sat on the bed.

"Sarah knows the truth." He said.

"What?"

"She knows. She began to ask things and I tried to answer it correctly but straying from the main point but the she asked me why she looked like me and..."

"Oh...now I understand what she was doing this morning looking at herself in the mirror."

"But how did she..."

"I don't know...maybe it was because at the game two persons related her to you. I mean she's 10 years old, but she is clever, and she had been saying that she felt this strange connection with you. How did she react? Oh babe...I am sorry you had to go through that alone." James grabbed my hand and kissed my fingers, putting it down but not letting go.

"Don't worry. It was fine, Jesus very emotional but she understood, at least I think she understood. I mean she didn't yell or sulked or showed rage, she cried, and she hugged me tight and said her wish came true. My heart was beating a mile per second."

"I'll talk to her tomorrow morning." I said. "Oh God...there's nothing more to hide now." I said with a mix feeling of relief and panic.

"She also said she's ok with moving. Apparently she doesn't like her school, people tease her for not having her father around." He said going to his side of the bed.

"See, I never knew about that. She never mentioned it, not only until Alex and I broke up and she told me about it. Maybe I should have asked and talk to her, I don't know..." He laid by my side and pulled me down so I could cuddle with him.

"She wouldn't say a thing Andrea. And don't blame yourself, the fact that she is quite balanced emotionally is because she had you with her the whole time."

"You think?"

"I am quite sure; don't forget I know what we are talking about."

"She reacted cool? I mean, she might be mad at me..." James caressed my hair.

"I don't think she is. I don't think she stopped to think about all this, she just focus on the fact she found her dad. She asked me not to leave her. Jesus, she broke me in two..."

"And how do you feel now that she knows?" I placed my chin on his chest so I could look up at him. James continued to play with my hair.

"It feels good, even more because it went good. I can't wait for her to call me dad, feel like a real dad."
