Everyone's busy preparing for the grand ball tonight. Every King, Queen, Prince and Princess will be coming here in our Palace wanting to show off who truly has a higher rank or who is the best of them all but here I am sitting in front of my mirror letting my personal make up artist to finish my make up.
"Your Majesty, everyone has arrived." The head of the Royal guards informed and I lift my hand, telling him that I'll be out in a minute then he left.
"It's all done, Your Majesty. You look absolutely stunning tonight." I smiled at my make up artist before standing up to leave.
Then it started. After I announced the purpose of this party everyone started dancing and dancing but I just sit here, getting bored every minute passed. "You look like you need some company tonight, Your Majesty. May I have this dance with you?" Prince Jongin Kim offered but I just smiled and dismissed him.
"I'm sorry but I don't dance so please enjoy yourself."
His eyes widen, mouth agape. "No one reje-"
"And I am a Queen, Prince Jongin Kim and I have all the rights to do what I want to do so please let me be in peace and enjoy yourself in the party." I said with a lot of authority that I can give. How can he act like a rude ass- Oh my, my, my! That was inappropriate! I shook my head and stood, already had enough of the party. I might just stay inside my bedroom and read until they need me to end the party.
I was busy walking in the direction of the staircase when someone blocked my way. "Your Majesty. May I have a dance with you?" Prince Taehyung Kim asked. What's wrong with all these Kims?
I gave him a small smile before saying what I had said a while ago. "I'm sorry but I don't dance so please enjoy yourself." I was waiting for his retort but then he just smiled.
"I respect your decision. Have a good night, Your Majesty." Then he left. Good. That's how should everyone respond.
I slumped my body on my chair, getting the book that I badly wanted to finish. I was in a middle of reading when I heard a noise and so I look up just to be in a face to face to the one and only Lalisa Manoban.
She was wearing a black pants tucked in her black military boots. Her gold turtle neck is also tucked in her pants paired with a black leather jacket. Her blonde hair is curled at the bottom same goes with her bangs. It was curled a little.
"Would you look at that, my, my, my. We are matching, Your Majesty." She was referring to my golden ball gown with black lining. I smiled at the thought. She was like my King because of our clothes.
"Wait, how did you-"
"In your balcony, Your Majesty." She interrupted me but then her eyes widen. "I'm really sorry for interrupting you, My Queen."
She knows.
How considerate.
But I just gave her a genuine smile with a small nod.
She gave me a toothy grin. "So, what are you doing here in your room, Your Majesty?"
I close my book, giving her my full attention. "I'm tired dismissing their 'dance' offer." I chuckled.
"Now you're making me nervous."
I raised my left brow at her but she just shrugged before pulling her phone from her pocket. A song suddenly occupied the once quiet room.
There I was again tonight
Forcing laughter, faking smiles
Same old tired lonely placeShe offered her hand to me, straightly looking at my eyes with so much sincerity. It was too much that it was overflowing.
