Meredith: "Intimacy is a four-syllable word for, ''Here are my heart and soul. Please grind them into hamburger and enjoy.'' It's both desired and feared, difficult to live with and impossible to live without. Intimacy also comes attached to life's three R's: Relatives, romance and roommates. 4:30 A.M.
                          
George: "You don't understand. Me gonads, you ovaries." he says as they get out of the car heading into the hospital 
                          
Izzie: "That reminds me. We are out of tampons."
                          
George: "You're parading in your underwear when I'm naked in the shower."
                          
Audrey: "Can you add it to your list?" 
                          
George: "What?!"
                          
Izzie: "Tampons!" 
                          
Meredith: "To the list. lt's your turn."
                          
George: "l am a man! l don't buy girl products! l don't want you walking in while I'm in the shower, and l don't want to see you in your underwear."
                          
Izzie: "lt doesn't bother me, ok? Look at me in my underwear, George. Take your time. lt's no big deal." she says as they head inside to get changed

Bailey: "You are the first person they see in the morning. You say please. You say thank you. You apologize for waking them up" she says a little louder as Alex walks into the room "You make them feel good about you. Why is that important? Cause then they'll talk to you and tell you what's wrong. Why is that important? Because then you can tell your attending what they need to know during rounds. And why is that important? Because if you make your resident look bad, she'll torture you until you beg for your mama. Now get out there. l want pre-rounds done by 5:30am."
                          
Meredith: "I'd better get good patients today. Yesterday I had two guys with colostomies who needed dressing changes every 15 minutes."
                          
Cristina: "I'm gonna be in surgery. Today's my day."
                          
Audrey: "On what?" she asks fixing the pager on her waistband  
                          
Cristina: "Like I'd tell you."
                          
Meredith: "What do you know?" 
                          
Cristina: "l know l was here at 4:00, and you two didn't get here till 4:30."
                          
Meredith: "Tell us."
                          
Cristina: "No. l'm not the intern who's screwing an attending."
                          
Meredith: "l am not screw-" she says as they walk out the door and Derek steps in front of her as the other two continue walking

George: "There need to be some rules." he says walking behind Audrey and Meredith 
                          
Audrey: "So, what, we can walk around in our underwear on alternate Tuesdays, or you could see bras but not panties?" 
                          
Meredith: "Or are you talking Amish rules? if you think you're gonna get lzzie to cover herself-"  they say chuckling 
                          
George: "The amount of flesh exposed is not the point. You have to do something. lt's your house."
                          
Meredith: "lt's my mother's house."
                          
George: "Meredith-" 
                          
Meredith: "Do you like lzzie? ls that what this is about? Do you have a crush on lzzie?" she asks making George become flustered  
                          
George: "lzzie? No. l don't like lzzie."
                          
Izzie: "No. l-she's not the one l'm attracted to."
                          
Meredith: "Not the one."
