I landed in my bed,exhausted I try to go to bed in the soft comfort of the bed.I Eventually give up and looked at the digital clock,Alastor hated.it read 2:30am. I got up with a sigh as I walked towards the door and opened it, Causing a loud creak.
I walked into the hall listening keenly making sure no one was up. I heard wings flapping and a soft coo from behind me, I looked and Saw Alfredo flying behind me. She landed on my head and sat down.
Once the coast was clear I flew down the stairs to create less sound. Once I was in the kitchen made some hot coco. I stirred the brown liquid and added marshmallows. I heard a coo from on my head. "Shh, here you can have some." I said passing a Marshmello to Alfredo she caught it with her beak And swallowed. I chuckled to myself picking up the hot coco noticing I had made enough for two.
I shrugged picking another cup up. "The more the merrier." I said looking up at Alfredo. I walked out the door of the hotel,holding the two cups of coco. I looked down and saw vaggie sitting there all alone.
"Hey vaggie, why are you out here in the cold?" I ask handing her a cup of coco, causing Alfredo to Squawk. "Hey I never said this was yours." I said annoyed. "Thank you." She said with a smile. She took a deep breath, and started speaking. "Nightmares... I have been having nightmares." She responded, with a slight shudder. "About what?" "The exterminators," "Who are they?" I asked, sitting down confused. "They are angel that come from heaven each year to kill demons." She answered. "In my dream, we were all trying to help demons before the exterminators killed them." " then they started targeting us apart from the other demons." "Was I there?" She nodded before she continued speaking. "The angels exterminated each and everyone one of us until, the only ones left was me and Charlie." She sniffed. "She screamed at me, she said this was all my fault, she said only if I supported her ideas maybe this would never had happened and I wasn't Good enough." Small tears started escaping her eyes. "Hey,hey it's okay." I say rubbing little circles around her back. " I had to watch the love of my life get impaled by a monster." I scouted over a bit and hesitated. I reached over my other arm and gave her a soft hug. Alfredo flew over to her shoulder, and nuzzled her cheek. " I can't promise that many things, but I can promise this, you are good enough."
I got up and left vaggie alone, with her hot coco. As I entered the hotel I heard the angel behind me. "Nice way to win her trust." He said with a crazy smile. "Leave me alone." I said crossing my arms. Alfredo sprung up protectively. "The more you show you care about them, the more they get hurt" he said as he disappeared.
I rolled my eyes as I flew towards my room. I fell on my bed with a huff. "What have I gotten myself into?" I muttered as I closed my eyes.
