Chapter 10 - My Lord

                                    

                                          
Cassie carefully pushed the big wooden door open, peering around it. She hugged her coat tighter to herself and watched as her warm breath spiraled away from her. 
                          
She walked into the huge room. Staircases to the right and to the left both curved up to meet at the middle and two hallways lead off to the sides. A large set of double doors were set into the wall beneath where the two staircases met. Ice formations were all around the room. Frost stuck in all the corners of the room. A beautiful ice chandelier hung from the ceiling.
                          
Cassie's eyes rested on the two doors after she had surveyed the whole room. She took a deep breath and walked forward towards the doors. She paused just before the door and ran her fingers across the ornate engravings on the door. Then she moved her hand down to the handle, turned it and opened the door.
                          
She stepped into the room she saw a figure standing by the window. His blonde hair trailing down his back.
                          
"Sir, I have arrived." Cassie said bowing. Kou turned around to face her. 
                          
"Stand my dear." he said smiling. he walked over to Cassie and hugged her. she stiffened eyes widening in fear. 
                          
"How is our plan going?" He said stepping back.
                          
"Good, Kyria has gone unconscious for the moment and the pictures have been sent to Akira. He should be trying his hardest right now to find her."
                          
"Good, good." Kou said giggling," all is going according to plan... Sebastian! Fetch me a glass of wine, the best we have. I deserve it." 
                          
A butler that had been standing silently in the corner of the room moved forward and bowed.
                          
"Yes, my lord." he then walked out of the room. Kou turned back to Cassie.
                          
"I need you to watch Akira and try to, considering your past, get close to him. Confuse his heart. I want him when I'm done to be broken. Physically and mentally.
                          
"Yes, sir." Cassie replied,"I'm going to go now, are we done?"
                          
"Yes, we are done." he answered. Cassie turned and left the room. As she was leaving Sebastian came back with a tray, a bottle and a glass. He set the tray down on the table and poured Kou a glass.
                          
"Thank you Sebastian."
                          
"It's my pleasure, my Lord."
                          
Kou walked back to the window and looked into the snowy landscape outside. He laughed to himself.
                          
"I will break him."
