Archie's POV

I see the moving truck pull up outside of Betty's house. It's the end of Summer and she is getting ready to leave to New York for her first semester at NYU.

Veronica has already left, she got into her dream school Harvard all on her own.

Jughead decided to study abroad in Canada, to write. He found a great writing school there, "Archie being alone is when I do my best writing. Just you wait and see." He said to me before he left just a week ago.

It's just been me and Betty. She is just packing up the rest of her stuff up and FP and Alice are moving her up tomorrow.

I am going to miss her.

I know I made the right choice for me to stay here, take over my Dad's business. It's what he would have wanted. I am excited about the guitar classes I am going to teach, and I plan on taking some courses down at the community college. Betty helped me get it all set up.

"Arch, education is always important. You need to have some business classes under your belt if you are just going to start running your own business, so just let me help you." As she grabbed the laptop out of my hand.

That was already a couple of months ago, when things finally started to settle in Riverdale. Words I never thought I would say. Who could have imagined that?

My phone starts to ring.

"Hey Betty whats up?" I say. I look over through my window and she is sitting in her window looking at me.

"Are you going to the summer blow out tonight at Sweetwater river?" She asks while taping up some boxes.

"I wasn't planning on it, it's going to be a lot of the high schoolers." I say. She looks up and rolls her eyes.

"We still basically are Arch." She says starting to laugh, I love her laugh. "Come on! Come with me, it's my last night here we need to do something special." She says.

I had something planned of my own for us, but I guess that will have to wait.

"Okay, okay. Just because it's your last night." I say with a laugh.

"Damn straight." She said laughing. "Be over here in three hours." She says.

"Yes ma'am." I say and she throws me the finger in her window. I belly laugh so hard while she hangs up on me. I see her smile crack through and my heart swells.

Betty Cooper. She is the love of my life. It only took me 18 years to figure it out.

"Ronnie we should talk." I say to Veronica at Pop's she nods.

"Yes, I think we do." She says back sounding just as serious but nervous as me.

"We should break up." We both say. We both look at each other in shock and a little bit of relief. She laughs a little.

"I didn't know you felt the same way...." I say and she shrugs.

"Archiekins. You are and forever will be my great love. I am off to Harvard, you and I have been savoring up as much time together as we can but I think we both knew.... it was our time."

"I am glad you feel the same way, I love you Ronnie. Always will." I say standing out of my booth to hug her. She kisses my cheek.

"You too Archiekins, always."

That was two weeks before graduation. It was coming for awhile. Betty and Jughead weren't too long after that. It surprised me, they seemed so happy. Jug ended it with her. They both sat down and really talked about their future and what their life was going to be like for the next five years. Typical Betty and Jughead, very logical even while breaking up. They decided it was time and maybe down the road they would connect again, at least that's what Betty told me when I asked her when she came over to help me study.
