Rosa's Point of View
I made it through first period, barely. I was just really tired and by the time lunch came around, I wanted to go home. I walked out of my third period and into the quad where I saw one of my other best friends, Milan.

"Hey Rosa."

"Hey Milan."

I could barely get those words out strong enough for anyone to hear. I was just really tired. Milan noticed this immediately.

"Rosa, are you alright? You look really tired. And where did those bruises come from"

"I am tired, and I don't know where I got the bruises. I haven't been hit hard enough lately to bruise."

"Do you wanna go to the nurses office? You don't look too good."

"That wouldn't be a bad idea."

"Ok, let's go."

Milan then walked me to the nurses office. When we walked in I felt the cool air coming from the AC. The lady at the desk didn't notice us right away. We walked up and I began talking to her.

"Um, excuse me?"

"Yes. How can I help you?"

"I'm not feeling too good. I am really tired, my stomach is kinda hurting, and I have a headache."

"Alright. Just sit down and I will take your temperature."

The nurse then looked to Milan and asked her if she had any problems too.

"No, I'm fine. I just came to walk Rosa over here."

"Alright, then you can leave now."

"Ok. Bye Rosa, get better."

I waved to Milan as she walked out and when I turned my head to the nurse, I saw that she had a thermometer in her hands. She continued doing just the normal check-up and took my information. She told me that I had a fever and that I should go see a doctor to see if I can get any medicine to help me out. With that, I called my mom and she came to pick me up.

"Hey mom." I said as I got in the car.

"Hi baby. How are you doing"

"Eh. I don't feel really good."

"Ok... I already made you a doctors appointment and it is in half an hour."

"Alright."

It got really quiet and I almost fell asleep. I noticed that we arrived at the doctors office and I sat up. My mom parked in front of the tall, brown building. The car stopped and my mom hopped out. I slowly took off my seatbelt and opened the car door. I stood up slowly, putting one foot on the ground at a time. I closed the door behind me and walked into the office. When I first walked in, I was hit by the sour smell of latex gloves and sick children.

We walked up to the lady at the desk and my mom said that we were here for my appointment. Honestly, I wasn't even paying attention to what my mom was saying because I was just zoning out. My mom snapped me out of it when she tapped my shoulder. And kind of pulled me over to the waiting room. I didn't talk and there was nobody else in the room except for my mom, so the only noises were coming from the television.

We waited for a few minutes, just listening to the television host, talking about some game or the weather or something. After a while, a nurse opened the door to the exam rooms.
