Alexis POV
                          
The week went by so quickly and soon enough, it was Friday. 
                          
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
                          
I threw my alarm across the room and it hit the wall with a thud and fell to the ground.
                          
"Happy Birthday Lexi!" My parents chorused 
                          
"Thanks Mom, thanks Dad." I replied tiredly.
                          
" Cmon Lexi, you have to get up. You've got school and then Roni's throwing you that big birthday party tonight." Mom said. I'm pretty sure she was more excited for it than me.
                          
"Ugh. Fine"
                          
They left the room and I quickly got in the shower. 30 minutes later, I was driving to school. Roni was waiting for me by my locker as usual. She was on her phone. She's been on her phone a lot this week and it's starting to seem suspicious. I'll ask her about it at the party tonight cause I know she won't tell me in school. You never know whose eavesdropping on your conversation. People at this school are so nosy, especially the girls who will gossip about everything. It doesn't matter if it isn't true, they will just say whatever makes a good rumor or whatever sounds bad.
                          
Xander and his friends walk down the hall and he winks at me again. It's like he doesn't know that I'm not gonna fall for him like every other girl. I haven't seen a new girl around him lately which I guess is a good thing. The only girl I've seen around him is Stella. She's the school slut. She's only around him cause she wants to be his new 'girl toy', but apparently he doesn't want to, so he just ignores him. I'd never thought that Xander, the all time player, would turn down having a 'girl toy'.
                          
"Hi." Xander says to me. I look behind me to make sure that he isn't talking to someone behind me, but there is no one there.
                          
"Hey. Are you talking to me?" I say cautiously.
                          
"Yep" he said popping the 'p'.
                          
"Why?"
                          
"Cause I like you." He says bluntly. Xander is telling me that he likes me? I laugh out loud. He looks at me confused.
                          
"Why are you laughing?"
                          
"Because I never thought that you, the biggest player in the school would be telling someone that you like them. If you think that I feel the same way back, then you're wrong. I'm not like other girls and I refuse to fall for your stupid games." I said. Roni snickered.
                          
"It's not a game." He says strongly. I raise my eyebrow at him.
                          
"Really, so you think that being a player and moving onto a new girl like every day is not a game. You must be insane!" I rolled my eyes and waited for him to justify himself. He stayed silent. I huffed, turned on my heel and walked away with Roni following close by.
                          
"By the way, happy birthday and I'll see you at your party tonight!" He yelled. I turned to Roni.
                          
"I can't believe you invited him."
                          
"Well... I couldn't invite everyone in the grade and just leave him out."
                          
"Why not?"
                          
"Cause that's mean." 
                          
"Really, you're going to play that card?"
                          
"Well, it's true! Besides I think that if anyone can put him in his place and make him stop being a player, it would be you."
                          
"Fine. Whatever. But I guarantee you that he will not change at all."
