Dropping my phone onto the bed next to me, I roll onto my stomach, stuffing my face into Brayden's pillow; that surprisningly still has his scent on it and I can't help the groan that leaves my mouth when my phone dings.

Blindly reaching out to find my phone, where I find another text from Brycen; "Too damn bad, you will not be alone on your b-day; Bray wouldn't want that and you know it. Wyatt, Courtney, Carter and I are picking you up by 5 p.m. tomorrow, so you better be ready."

"No thanks," I reply before silencing my phone and shutting my eyes with a heavy heart.

Falling asleep on Brayden's side of the bed, never hearing Brycen's text and never calling mum back. Waking the next morning around 11 a.m., stretching my arms over my head, lying in bed several more minutes before getting up to empty my bursting bladder. Flushing the toilet, I then wash my hands and face and brush my teeth and hair. Exiting my bathroom back into my bedroom and head toward the kitchen to make myself a late breakfast. Taking my scrambled eggs and toast into the living room, where I eat while watching 'Friends' on Netflix; one of my favorite shows.

Several hours later, around 4:45 p.m., I've spent my day watching 'Friends'; there's a loud knock on the front door. Groaning, I stand to answer the door, already knowing who is outside the house.

"I thought I told you to be ready by 5 p.m. since we're goint out to dinner?" Brycen chastises as he, my siblings and Wyatt shuffle past me and into the house.

"And I told you 'no thanks,'" I remind my best friend; starting to become grumpy. "I don't want to do anything today other than what I've been doing; watching television and sulking."

"Tough shit, you're not doing that," Brycen argues; as I plop my ass back on the couch with my arms crossed.

Shrugging my shoulders at him, deciding not to answer and just flip him off instead; I'm not going. The four of them stare at me, slightly irritated with me; I know I'm being difficult but I don't care since Bray isn't here.

"Get your grumpy ass off the couch so we can leave," Carter chastises; he tries pulling me off the couch by my arms but I become limp and he struggles for a minute.

"Fine, I didn't want to do this but I have too now," Carter tells me before leaving the house.

Thinking I've won, I fix my position on the couch until he walks back inside with Catlynn and Jonah; Jonah and my brother are smirking at me as Cat scowls at me; "Bear, get your skinny ass off that couch now and get dressed. NOW!"

Scrambling off the couch heading toward my room to change my clothes quickly; an upset Cat is not pretty, so it's best to do what she says. Coming back downstairs ten minutes later ready to leave; Carter, Courtney, Wyatt, Brycen and Jonah smirk at me while Cat smiles sweetly at me as she is aware of the power she holds over me.

"Ready to leave now?" she purrs; looping an arm through mine and Jonah's.

"Where are we going?" I grumble; locking the door before climbing into Jonah and Catlynn's car and the other four are riding together in Carter's car.

"Migal's," Jonah responds; pulling from the driveway.

Tears spring into my eyes as Migal's is our (Bray and me) 'restaurant'; we always go there when we've gone out to dinner these last eleven months. "I don't want to go there; that's our place," I whimper; blinking back tears that threaten to fall.

"Bear, we're going there, we're treating tonight like Brayden was here," Cat softly replies; turning in her seat to look at me symptheticly.

Ignoring her comment, I turn my attention out the window while a couple of tears slide down my cheeks; a few more sliding out when we park at the restaurant. "Please don't make me go in there."

"Sorry, kid," Jonah sympathsises as he and Cat climb out of the car.

Swallowing thickly I slowly follow them inside Migal's with the other four with a deep frown; we wait to be seated and a few minutes later mum, dad, Sonya and Bethany join us.

"Steven's sorry he can't join us tonight; he's away on business," Bethany informs me; settling into her chair.

"That's fine," I respond; not caring since Steven and I don't get along.

When the food arrives, I'm not paying attention to anything or anyone around me; since this is the dish Brayden orders when we come here. What catches my attention is that the restaurant has gone silent . Glancing around at everyone at the table, finding them smirking at someone behind me; turning in my seat to find Brayden in his uniform standing directly behind me. He has a large smirk at me as he lowers himself onto his left knee, bringing out a black box that he opens, showing a beautiful ring.

"Beau William Hunter, you are the love of my life, the reason for my existence, the reason I smile every day. You make me want to become a better person and help you achieve your dreams and every desire; so, will you please make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?" he asks with hopeful eyes and warm smile.

Tears pour down my cheeks as I nod furiously, whispering out; "Yes, of course!"

Once Brayden on his feet, I'm launching myself into his hold; kissing him hard on his mouth as his hands grip my hips to bring me flush with his body. Pulling apart, Brayden takes my left hand in his to slip the ring on my ring finger and kisses my knuckles.

Clapping brings me out of my happy 'Brayden bubble' and my face instantly burns from the attention; while Brayden pushes my chair in for me as I sit before he takes the seat next to me and the waiter places a dish in front of him.

Best birthday ever in the history of all the birthday's I have ever had in my entire life.
