"so... she's gonna he working with us?" hoseok asked, cringing as they all pulled up to work.
"yeah... sadly," jin sighed, parking the car.
"not for long, hopefully. i'm sure mr.bang will see how much of a witch she is and fire her eventually," jimin said.
"hey, you never know. maybe it won't be as bad as you think. hopefully she'll just stay out of our way."
"hopefully."
the three boys walked in and immediately see hye-jin behind the counter. she was sitting behind the cash register- jimin's favorite thing to do at work- and wearing his apron.
"that's mine," jimin said, walking up to her, angrily, "and i work the cash register."
"calm down, jimin. boss said i could wear your apron since i'm new and he had to order another one. and since i'm still training, i need to work the cash register."
"well... well- that's not fair! what am i supposed to wear?"
as soon as jimin began to raise his voice, their boss walked out from the back.
"woah, jimin. what are you doing?"
"she took my-"
"jimin's just upset because he likes to wear his apron and work the cash register. i totally get it. it's completely fine if he wants to-"
"jimin, what did i tell you? hye-jin's new to this job and you have to treat her with some respect. you're being completely rude."
"but, mr.bang she-"
"shhh. i don't want to hear it. you'll get to work at the register and get your apron back in a few weeks. until then, hye-jins going to be occupying them."
jimin groaned quietly, glaring at hye-jin. he was usually very nice and willing to give anyone a second chance, but he just couldn't with hye-jin.
he hated her.
-
jimin was wiping down the counter, trying to avoid eye contact with hye-jin.
she peered over at him and immediately spoke up.
"jimin, that's not how you clean a table. you're wiping in circles, when you should be wiping in a straight line," she said, grabbing the rag from him and trying to demonstrate.
jimin was fuming with anger. the girl had been there for one day and was already trying to tell jimin how to do his job.
he took a a deep breath, trying to calm down.
"if you want it done that way, then you can do it," jimin said, sassily turning and walking away.
"probably for the best. then i won't have to redo it later, anyways."
jimin turned around and glared at her. the look in his eyes was of pure rage as he tightened his fists.
"look, i don't know why you feel the need to be so rude to me, but that ends now. namjoon likes me and treating me like garbage isn't going to change that."
jimin felt movement behind him, turning around and seeing his boss standing there.
"jimin, in my office. now."
jimin released a deep sigh and followed his boss to the back.
-
"i've told you a million times, jimin. whatever this weird little fued you two have needs to end. now."
"but, sir, it wasn't me. she was-"
"i don't care who it was. i don't want any bad vibes or fighting in my establishment, you hear?"
jimin thought for a minute, figuring fighting wouldn't get him anywhere.
"yes, sir."
"i mean it, jimin. if i see it again, there will be consequences."
-
jimin finished off the rest of the day, trying to ignore all of hye-jin's petty comments.
seokjin and hoseok would try to soften the mood, but it really wasn't helping.
when the three of them got to leave, it was honestly the best feeling in the world. they all grabbed their stuff as quick as possible and headed out.
"sorry, jimin. guess i was wrong. she really is a bitch," jin said.
"and the worst part is, i kept on getting in trouble when i was just trying to defend myself."
"yeah, that was weird. it's like there's no loyalty anymore. we work for the guy for years and the second he hires some idiotic slut, he believes her over you," hoseok said.
"hobi! don't call her a slut."
"well, it's true. she was having sex with like ten guys at the same time as joon. she's a fucking cheater."
"with that logic, namjoon was a slut, too," jin said, laughing a bit.
"but he's not a cheater, though. he just liked to fuck around-"
"can you guys stop. please? this whole conversation is giving me ptsd. i have the love of my life now and everything's fine. i can deal with hye-jin. eventually she'll realize she can't mess with me and leave me alone, anyways."
"sorry, chim. your life just keeps throwing shit at you, huh?"
jimin just nodded, with a sigh.
"i'll be alright, though. as long as i have you guys and joonie, everything's gonna be fine."
