"Lay it on me."

"That facility is Salt Lake and it's clearance level ten."

My jaw dropped and I stared at the wall in shock. Clearance level ten might as well be White House level security since there was no way you could break in. It was if Fury knew that I'd go after her so he purposefully put her in the highest clearance level facility.

"That's not great," I deadpanned and glared daggers at the wall.

The plan was supposed to be perfect and simple; find Logan, break in, get her out and move to Iowa to enjoy the rest of our lives at peace on my farm.

I was looking forward to my first mission in a long time that didn't have to be horribly complicated, one that could be completed with as little stress as possible. I wasn't looking forward to a mission like the one Maria was beginning to describe, one that involved high security government facilities and the possibility of getting serious jail time. Nick Fury was only forgiving once and I had used mine up before, there was no going back if everything went south.

"Clint? You're still with me right?" Maria inquired while I broke my train of thought and brought the phone back up to my ear.

"I'm here, just thinking."

"You need to decide on a time that you want to break in to the facility and figure out a way to break in. A facility as high level as that one must not be all that comfortable for Logan, she's likely miserable."

That statement made my blood boil and I gripped my phone tighter to keep myself from chucking it across the room. I had to stay at least a tad bit sane and really start to think of how I was gonna do this.

"Do you have any advice?" I inquired, hoping that Maria knew at least something about breaking into SHIELD facilities.

"I can come by in the next week with some blueprints and some tips if you'd like."

Thank God for Maria Hill.

"Yes, that would be amazing. I'll call Steve and Nat in a few hours. Can you come by this afternoon?"

"I guess, but you better be ordering me some Chinese food," Maria warned and I chuckled at the threat.

"Of course. Anything for you."

"Perfect, I'll see you in a few hours Clint. Try to go back to sleep, I can hear how tired you are from here."

Maria laughed before hanging up while I ran a hand over my face and let out a sigh. It had only been a week since Logan was taken to the facility and I already missed her more than words could describe. She was everything to me and I had full confidence that one day I'd marry her. Sure we might've met after she shot me in the ankle but we've grown since then. Logan had not only become a valuable asset to my work as a SHIELD agent but also someone that I can't live without. So I was going to do everything in my power to get her back. Even if that meant turning my back on the very organization that gave me a second chance all those years ago.

Maria Hill

As soon as she hung up the phone, Maria Hill knew that calling Agent Barton was a bad idea. She could hear the desperation in his voice when he talked about Logan and knew that that man was in mourning for his loss. Maria hadn't met Logan when she was brought to Avengers Tower or even after she was arrested by SHIELD. The agent only knew her because she owed Logan her life after she saved it nearly three years ago. Maria didn't even know she had an assassin trailing her until Logan tapped her on the shoulder, revealing that she had killed the man trying to kill her. Their encounter was brief and Maria barely even remembered what the woman looked like. She vaguely remembered blue hair and an attitude that matched a brutal personality. One would believe that Logan's personality was carved out of stone since she had that look about her that made you want to stay away. Maria hoped that she was different around people like Clint and that the agent had picked a good one. Unlike the last time he fell in love and SHIELD lost one of its brightest stars. Maria was praying that Clint wasn't in over his head and he actually knew what he was getting into dating an assassin. He sounded like he was in love on the phone and that he would do anything for Logan.
