When I wake up the next morning, I honestly had hoped to see at least a few missed calls, and double the amount of that in texts, but I check my phone only to see a few notifications, none of which are from Billie.

I just wanted to know what the hell happened yesterday.

Her radio silence puts me in a worse mood than I already was, and the fact that I wouldn't be seeing for a day later than planned, weakens my resolve to not be the one to call first.

"I'm not sure what I should do," I admit to Mia over the phone as I begin my walk to school.

"Do not call her! Wait for her to come to you." She insists and I frown. She was only reaffirming what I already thought I should do, but for some reason the idea doesn't sit right with me.

"Just 'cause she's some big celebrity doesn't mean she can walk all over you." She adds, and my frown deepens.

"Billie's not like that." I reply defensively, and I hear Mia sigh over the line.

"I know, I know," she mutters impatiently, "but just trust me on this okay?"

"Fine." I agree reluctantly, and say a brief goodbye, putting away my phone and climbing the steps up to the school.

Thoughts of Billie are pushed to the back of my mind as the familiar stress of exams take over.

These are only mock ups of the exams I would have to take at the end of the year, but most colleges still take them into account, and I can't risk any bad grades.

Rushing the library to meet Mia, she and I, along with a few other classmates, sit in panicked silence in the library, trying to cram as much information as we can before the first exam. The only noise is the frantic flicking of pages, and the scrapping of pens against paper.

Feeling my phone vibrate, I pull it out of my pocket and glance down, seeing Finneas' name flash across the screen. I go the press accept when Mia snatches it from my grip, declining the call.

"What the fuck are you doing?" I whisper, and make to grab it back from her, but she quickly dodges my attempt, leaning back in her seat.

"Not so fast," she sings, earning a few dirty looks from those studying around us, "you'll get it back after your exams."

"But that's not for another six hours!" I protest, but she shakes her head.

"You need a drama free atmosphere to do well today."

"But-"

"No buts." Mia interrupts, pausing at the sound of the bell, "Now come on, we have an exam to ace."

When I hand in my last paper, I can already feel as though a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

"Thank fuck we're done." Mia exclaims, making me laugh.

"Couldn't have said it better myself."

We walk off the school grounds, heading for my apartment, when I stop short. "You have my phone, right?"

"Oh, yeah. Here."

We continue on our way as I turn it on, and my eyes widen in alarm at the amount of missed calls left by Finneas. I rush to answer him back, but the call refuses to go through.

"Mia!" I groan, checking the credit balance on my phone.

"What? What did I do?"

"You left my mobile data on all day, and now I have no credit." I complain and she shoots me a sympathetic smile.

"Shit, sorry." She apologises, "I'll top you up first thing tomorrow, promise."

I sigh and drag a hand through my hair, "fine. Can I borrow yours?"

She shakes her head, "it's dead. Just forgot about it for now, you can call back tomorrow. But now, we have a party to get ready for." She grins.

A/N: I'm sorry this took so long! I haven't had much motivation to write recently, especially for this book but I'm gonna try get back into it over Christmas break.

I hope you enjoyed this! I'll try to get the next part up within the next few days.

Much love, Isabel 💕
