Darkness. That was all I saw. Pain. That was all I felt. My chest felt like it was splitting open. In the back of my mind, I could feel the irony of all this. Madara seemed to strike the one spot that I've been struck before. Back when we were trying to get Sasuke from leaving the village, I fought with Hanzo and he thrust his blade in the same exact spot that Madara did. And not just from Hanzo, Pein also 'killed' me before by thrusting one of those rods in me, but it was more near my heart than this wound.

I already had so many scars. Now this will add to it.

But that wasn't the problem at hand. While I couldn't see anything, my thoughts were still intact. This was the first flag. Does this mean that I'm not dead? If I was, then I feel like I would see my parents like the last time.

The next thought however, turned to Sasuke and Naruto. Alarm rang through me. The last I saw was Sasuke lying on the floor in the same state as me. Same as for Naruto. The last time I saw him was when the Nine Tails was extracted from him. Sadness welled in me.

They need to be alright!

Suddenly, the darkness began to disappear and I found myself in a dim light. I blinked once, turning my head. I noticed that I was able to see my body. Did I not die?

I sat up and jerked my head to my chest. My eyes widened as I saw no blood nor no wound. All was left was a giant scar, bigger than when Hanzo slashed me. Tentatively, I raised my hand to the torn clothing of mine, touching the showing skin of where Madara stabbed me. The skin was smooth, almost as if I had just lotioned my body.

"What's going on?" I asked aloud.

To my complete surprise, a wise, old voice answered me from behind. "It is amusing that you are the only one of the other two who hasn't bothered to have a complete look at their surroundings."

Immediately, I jumped up, looking at the direction the voice came from. A soft ripple echoed and I glanced down, noticing I was standing on some sort of water. That's odd, I'm standing on top of it, but I'm not using any chakra... I looked back up at the person in front of me.

He was an older looking man who was sitting in midair. Surrounding him were the same black orbs that surrounded Obito along with the same looking staff and robe.

He also had Rinnegan.

Habit took over and I activated my Rinnegan, tensing up. The old man seemed amused. "Fear not. I am not the enemy. I am the creator of peace, law and order. I am he who is known as Hagoromo."

I paused for a moment. I've heard that name before, but from where? It took a few seconds but recognition went through me. My jaw dropped. "You're the Sage of Six Paths!"

"So you do know me?" Hagoromo said.

I nodded, hurriedly. "Of course I do! You were the creator of ninshuu, which led to ninjutsu! And...." I trailed off, trying to figure out how to say it. I just quickly added, "I have the same eyes as you."

Hagoromo continued to stare me down and I fiddled with my fingers. "Why am I here? Why are you with me right now? And what did you mean when you said 'other two'? Does that mean that you saw Sasuke and Naruto? Are they okay?"

"You ask too many questions." Hagoromo said with a slight sigh. "I'll answer them as we continue."

I frowned. I would prefer if he just answered them all right now. But in the back of my head I knew that what he was going to say would be important.
