I slept through almost the whole ride, when we got there Ryder said there are only two rooms- each enough to fill the needs of two individuals -and that we had to chose, Eli and Alex decided to be gentlemen and give me my privacy by choosing to share a room which I'm thankful for.
We all settled in and Ryder told us that he'd be back tomorrow morning to check on us.
Alex wanted to talk to me but I avoided it with the excuse of being too tired to talk.
I pulled out one of my baby blue oversized hoodies and a pair of yoga pants and jumped in the shower, one thing that I noticed about this place is, besides that it's in the middle of literally nowhere, it's huge... Like really huge.
The bathroom floor is made of white marble along with the walls, the shower itself is pretty ordinary, just your tipical glass doors; the sink and counter are also made of marble, there are a ton of different bottles in the cabinet behind the mirror, mostly Tylenol and antihistamines.
I finished drying off and getting dressed before I crashed into bed.
Having had all the energy sucked out of me, it only takes me a few minutes to fall into a deep slumber.

I open my eyes and find myself staring at a ceiling, not my room's ceiling though.
I sit up and look around in confusion before the events of yesterday come back to me.
Blowing out a sigh of frustration, l drop back down on the bed.
I hear some shuffling outside before the door creaks open and the sound of footsteps grows louder as the person approaches me.
I sit up to see that it's Ryder dressed in a his signature black leather, white shirt and black jeans.
"You're up early, It's eight am. Everyone else is still asleep." he sets down a cardboard box on the empty bed opposite to mine and a suitcase on the ground.
I drop back down and turn around so I'm facing the wall instead of him, he doesn't say anything in response.
When l realize that the cardboard box and suitcase he brought aren't indeed mine l turn around to face him again with the blanket wrapped around me only showing my face as l clutch it tightly.
"What's the stuff for?" l ask.
He shuffles through the box and pulls out a gun.
A fucking gun.
Instinctively, l immediately back up against the wall in surprise.
He reaches for the drawer but stops when he notices me.
"What's wron-" he stops and looks down at his gun as if realizing the problem before looking back up at me.
"W-Why do you have that?" l struggle to make out the words, violence was always something that l couldn't handle, the slightest hint of anger or violence is enough to send me into a full blown panic attack. Whether that's gun violence or otherwise.
"Relax, it's just for safety." he places it in his drawer and shuts it, l flinch at the sound of it closing.
"You're just gonna leave it there?"
"Hey, chill out it's just a gun." he raises his hands in surrender.
He's right. It's just a gun Laynie you're being ridiculous.
I nod and look away, then it's just awkward silence.
"You're staying here?" l murmur, barely loud enough for him to hear.
"Yes."
"Would you care to explain what the hell is going on?" l ask, trying to cover up my fear with an ignorant tone.
"l already told you. Edith is after you all and I'm staying with you for extra protection." he continues to pull random things out of the box and placing them in different spots.
"Yeah well you're gonna need to give me more than just that for me to stay here."
"That's all you should know." he says calmly.
"l don't give a shit whether l should or shouldn't know what kind of mess you've landed me in, l deserve to know." l explain.
"It's for your own safe-" l cut him off before he can finish his sentence.
"Bullshit. This whole it's for your own safety thing. You don't give a flying fuck about me or my safety so stop lying to yourself. I've had enough of you giving me pretty much zero information as to why the fuck everything that's going on is going on so tell me! Why and what kind of mess have you landed me in."
He sighs in defeat and sits down on his bed with an audible thud "Alright fine. Tonight. You get three questions that l have to answer and in return l get three requests that you have to agree to do."
That's not fair. Not one bit. He knows I'm dying of curiosity and that I'm willing to do anything to get more information and he's using it against me knowing that I'll foolishly agree to do whatever he asks me for. The fucking asshole. "Fine."
He nods and gets up to continue unpacking his things.
It is taking everything in me not to murder him right now.
