It was around 12 in the morning when Jack had called me I had yelled at him telling him to go back to sleep and to leave me alone as I was about to hang up I faintly heard him say
"Please... don't hang up"
and so I proceeded to stay up till five in the morning talking to this stupid, adorable, idiotic, dorky golden retriever. We talked about the most random things and basically everything and anything relating from school to our home lives I was doing most of the talking, from venting about how much I wanna literally strangle this one female in my math class to how much I'm craving blueberry muffins.
"if you're craving them so badly we should go get some they sell some at a bakery nearby, they're super good," he said
"Are you crazy it's like three in the morning you mutt" I responded
"Well I didn't specify when exactly silly" I could hear him laughing over the phone before it abruptly came to a stop
" I forgot I have roommates, can't be too loud."
I sighed into my phone
"Y'know what I'll take you up on that offer pup meet you outside in 10," I say
"H..uh!? hold on a sec I'm Not a pup!" he pauses" are you serious? It might not even be open right now."
"Let's go anyways it's worth a shot right?"
Jack was quiet for a bit I could start to feel his hesitance.
"Are you sure about this?" he questions
"I've never been more sure about anything else in my entire life Jack"
I could hear his stifle laughter over the phone
"Ok ok meet you outside in 10 and be there! you better not leave me hanging" he says
"Meet you there in 10 scouts honor Jackie"
" Don't Call Me That It's embarass-!"
*Beep*
I quickly gathered up my bag shoving in anything I that could come handy it was fairly small so all that I had put in it was some cash and pepper spray and mad way out of the dorms I continued walking until I was outside the campus building I was in front of the school's fountain and was confused for Jack was nowhere in sight did he leave me hanging?
no, he wouldn't Jack isn't like that....right?
I was so lost in thought that I neglected the sudden presence behind me
"BOO"
"KYAAAA"
I punched whoever was behind me
"OWW"
I turned around to be greeted by the sight of Jack holding his nose
"You punch really hard" he tries to say but it comes out funny
"Well you scared me you mangy mutt"
I saw his ears droop and his tail stop wagging
"...you're not a mangy mutt..let's just go"
And just like that his ears perked up and his tail started wagging again like an excited puppy who had gotten a new toy.
"What are we waiting for then? Let's goo!" He exclaims
He grabs my hand and begins to make his way out of the campus.
Its really nice to hold your hand
His hand was bigger than mine and it felt really warm...I could get used to this feeling. I intertwined our fingers together, I looked over to see if Jack had any reaction but there was none he just had a grin on his face
I wish this moment could last forever
