"hey you guys, what's up?" finneas answers after elle knocks. "claudia here?" i question. "present" claudia raises her hand with a smile. "may we come in?" elle asks with the same cheerful smile. "of course. you two seem awfully happy for two people who are getting bashed all over the internet." finneas laughs. "we have some news" i tell them. "oh my god. you're pregnant!" finneas jokes and touches my stomach. "bitch! no!" i furrow my eyebrows and slap finneas's hand away. "the news is, billie and i are finally dating" elle announces. "congrats you guys!" claudia praises us. "bruh, you haven't been dating this whole time?" finneas's eyebrows furrow as he takes a bite of a banana. "not officially. but we have decided to make it official and announce the relationship to stop all of the hullabaloo" elle explains. "hullabaloo" i quote her and giggle. "shut up eilish" she rolls her eyes. "little british girl got some attitude" i widen my eyes and put my hands up in defense. she shakes her head and sighs in disappointment and i laugh. "anyway, we thought we'd drop by and share the news. we gotta go talk to mark" i shrug. "oh damn, good luck" finneas chuckles softly. "hopefully it goes alright" claudia smiles. "peace" i say, holding up a peace sign. "bye" elle waves. "see you guys later, if you survive" finneas laughs.
we get to mark's hotel room and i knock on the door. "oh you guys! perfect." he says, obviously still angry. "i want to announce the relationship." i tell him. "i thought you guys weren't even dating." he puts air quotes around the last few words. "we are now" i shrug. "you think this is a good idea? are you sure you want to loose tons of fans?" he buries his face in his hands. "i'm positive. i want to be able to hold hands with my girlfriend and kiss her in public." i explain. "go right ahead then. if you're alright with that" he rolls his eyes. "i'm perfectly fine with it. and i am positive elle is also. right?" i respond. "yep" she smiles and nods. "okay. then you do whatever you want." he says with a sigh. "we will" i reply. "come on elle, let's go" i add. "okay" she agrees.
we get back to the hotel and i get a text from finneas.
