Jade's POV: 
Nathan and I walked upstairs after our weird encounter and avoided each other all night. I was about to fall asleep at about 1 AM when I heard a light knock on my door. "Come in" I look at the door and see Nathan. "Sorry did I wake you up?" He says apologetically. "No I just dozed off for a second" I say sitting up slightly. "Oh uh, can I chill out in here with you I can't sleep" he says shyly. I don't respond I just pat the empty bed next to me and he walks over slowly and sits on the bed and open up his phone. We talked for a while and I started to doze off once more and I heard him stop talking and run his fingers through my hair. "Goodnight Bubba I love you" he says as he kisses my forehead and I feel him lift off the bed and hear my door open and close. I wake up the next morning to noise downstairs. I walk down and see our parents with all of their friends over. I say hi to everyone then go eat breakfast. I walk back into the living room and ask dad something. "Hey dad have you seen Nathan?" I ask. "Oh yeah he went to your spot. He said you would know where that is?" I look at dad and smile and drive to the Hollywood sign. I see him sitting there and I walk up to him and he just looks at me. "Jade?" "Nathan?" I say mockingly. "Will you be my girlfriend? I know it's weird because we live in the same house but we can make it work and we can like make it so th-" to stop him from talking I crash our lips together and kiss him passionately. We would be applying for colleges soon and we are 17 so we won't be in the house for much longer. We sit for there for a while and then go back home. We walk into the house with our hands intertwined and I see our parents sitting in the living room still. We don't want to tell them yet so we are going to have to sneak around. We go upstairs and take showers and then we eat dinner. We decided to go in Nathan's room and watch a movie and I laid on his chest and fell asleep almost instantly by the rhythm of his heart beat. I woke up to him rubbing my back. "Jade get up we have to get ready for school" I open my eyes and lift my head off of his chest and he smiles at me. I give him a quick peck on the lips before I run into my room quickly to get changed. We then both walk down stairs and eat breakfast. After we eat we say goodbye to our parents and leave. I drove to school of course. We get to school and we walk in with our hands intertwined and everyone is looking at us. I told Audrey already about us so she was literally the only one without a shocked facial expression. Nathan just gave me a quick glance and walked through the hallway to our first class while everyone stared at us. "WHAT" I scream and then everyone goes back to what they were doing. I look up at Nathan and see a hidden smirk on his face that he is trying to hide. "Not funny" I say hitting his arm playfully. He then bursts out into laughter as we walk into the classroom. I just sit and stare at him the whole class. We then go to other classes and then to lunch. "We you actually learning something or were you just staring at me the whole time?" Nathan says sitting down beside me at the lunch table like a girl ready for gossip. "You know what fuck you" I say jokingly. He smiles and then takes a bite of his sandwich. After we eat I lay on his shoulder while we talk to Audrey and some of our other friends. We then hear the bell ring and go to our other classes for the day and then drive home. We arrive home late because we went to the mall with Audrey after school so we got home ate dinner and then we took showers. I finish my shower and get dressed and I walk in my room to see A shirtless Nathan on my bed sleeping. "Nate get up go in your bed Bubba" I say softly. He doesn't budge. Awesome he must have took something to help him sleep. Well I'm not tired so I guess I'll just stay up. I sat on the bed beside where Nathan was and traced his back with my fingers. It made him more relaxed and into a deeper sleep because as soon as I started to do that he start to snore. I sat and traced his back until I got tired and I laid beside him and went to sleep. I woke up the next morning to see that Nathan is gone. He must be getting ready or eating. I walk downstairs to see him not there either. I walk upstairs and into his room to see him asleep at his desk on top of his computer. "Nate, get up bud" I say quietly. He doesn't budge. I tap him once more and he shoots up. He is already dressed and stuff he must have just been tired. We get into the car and drive to school but when I look over at Nathan he asleep. What is going on with him? Is he okay? I tap him and he shoots up once more. "Nathan are you okay?" "Yeah I guess I'm just tired" he says with a raspy voice as he opens the car door. We go to classes all day and he dozed off like every 2 minutes and I had to shake him to keep him up. We are walking to lunch when I feel him start to fall over. I catch him and he is completely passed out. "Nathan, Nate, someone help" I scream. The nurse runs over with the phone in her hand she dials 911 and the ambulance is here within 10 minutes I go to get in the back with him but the paramedic stops me "Are you family?" "Yes Yes I am" I say as she moves her hand to let me in. I sit beside him while the paramedics are hooking him up a bunch of shit and I take out my phone and call dad. 


                          
Dad: Hey honey what's up


                          
Jade: Dad there is something wrong with Nathan. We were walking to lunch and he collapsed in my arms in the middle of the hallway and he isn't responsive. I'm on my way to the hospital right now with him. I don't know why to do. 
                          
Dad: okay baby girl just breathe the four of us are on our way. Just stay strong for him okay. You got this I know you do. I love you see you soon. 


                          
END OF CALL;
                          
I sit in the ambulance watching them doing stuff to him. "He isn't responding" I hear the paramedic say. "His blood pressure and heart rate are extremely high" the other once says. I sit there and cry until we get to the hospital. They wheel him out and I go to follow but the stop me at the surgery room door. I then walk into the waiting room down the hall and see Sam and he runs over to me and I fall into his arms. "What happened bubba" he says. "I don't know he just collapsed in my arms and he isn't waking up" I say in between sobs. I then feel three 
hands on my back I look up to see mom, Kat and dad behind me. I hug them and we all sit down. The doctor then comes out and I stand up right away along with everyone else. "He is stable but we couldn't wake him up. I'm sorry to inform you that he is in a coma from hypoglycemic shock" I immediately felt my legs give out and I sobbed into my dads chest as he caught me and the doctor kept talking. "We don't know when he is going to wake up. Now we just have to play the waiting game" he says as he puts  a hand on Kat's shoulder as she sobs into 
Sam's chest. I can't believe this is happening right now. My best friend. My boyfriend. I couldn't even kiss him because they don't know about us. I am going to stay with him everyday until he wakes up. I was not going to leave his side. He would never leave mine either. "You can see him now" the doctor says talking to all of us at once. We all walk in and I look at him laying there. I feel so helpless because I couldn't help him. I walk over to him and hold his hand and brush his forehead with the other. Sam and Kat where on the other side of the bed while mom and dad where with me. I sat there and just looked at him and cried for hours. "Come on Jade it isn't healthy for you to stay here" dad says. "Dad I'm staying he would've done the same for me" I say in between sobs. We are all talking and I hear his monitor start to go crazy. Three nurses run in while two others push us out of the room. "He is flat lining" I hear one scream. "CODE BLUE CODE BLUE" they scream. They use the defibrillators on him and his heartbeat steady since more. "Okay he is stable but just talk to him and comfort him, he needs all of you right now. We are not supposed to let this happen but if you want all of you can stay the night if you'd like" Sam and dad nod and then look at me. "Are all of you staying because I am" I say walking back into the room. "Yes" mom and dad say and Sam and Kat nod their heads and walk back over to Nathan's side. I sit back down in the chair I was previously in and I hold him hand once more. "We are going to get some food, do you want anything" Sam asks before the four of them walk out of the room. I knew right now was my chance to tell him what I am feeling. The doctor said he could hear me talking. "Hey Nate I miss you and love you so much. You have to come back to me soon because I'm getting lonely" I say with a slight laugh. "I love you so much  and I am glad that you ask me to be your girlfriend and I promise you I won't ever let you go. No matter how long it takes I will wait for you forever if I have to" I say laying my head on my hand. I miss him so much  already and he hasn't even been out for a week. I fell asleep after a few minutes after I put my head on his hand and I woke up to my dad talking to me. "Hey come let's go you got school you can come back to see him later. I nod and kiss Nathan's forehead and walk out of the door. I go home shower get dressed and go to school. After school I went straight back to the hospital. I arrive there is see that Dad, Mom, Sam or Kat haven't left his side since he got here.
